Head coach Bob Stoops has had a lot of success recruiting in the Lone Star state and he headed back to the well for Oklahoma's latest commitment, talented Rockdale (Texas) athlete Daniel Brooks, according to SoonerScoop.com.

Primarily a running back in high school, Brooks could end up as a defensive back upon enrolling in Norman.

"They've talked about using me some as a return guy, running back, a slot guy, and they are looking for me on defense," he told the website earlier this week. "Coach (Brent) Venables says would love to see me at defensive back. I'm going to find my place."

The 5-foot-10, 175 pound Brooks also held a scholarship offer from New Mexico and received his offer from Oklahoma just two days ago. He recently attended one of the Sooners' Junior Days and decided to end the recruiting process early after taking everything in.

Brooks is the Sooners' fourth commit in the class of 2012.
