When Lakewood (Ohio) offensive lineman Kyle Kalis decommitted from Ohio State following the resignation of Jim Tressel, many pegged archrival Michigan as the odds-on favorite to land the top 100 prospect. Sunday afternoon, Kalis ended speculation and made it public that he will be a Wolverine.

Why Michigan? "The coaches, recruiting class, feeling comfortable," Kalis told 247Sports.com.

The 6-foot-5, 300-pounder is ranked 61st overall in the class of 2012 by MaxPreps and is just the latest addition to an impressive recruiting class by new head coach Brady Hoke. Kalis is the son of former NFL offensive lineman Todd Kalis, who went to school at Arizona State and played for the Vikings, Steelers and Bengals during an eight-year career.

Kalis told MGoBlog.com that he would have committed to Michigan several weeks ago following his first official visit but that his coach told him to wait. Instead, he committed following his second unofficial visit to the school on Sunday and has already started recruiting for the school.

The addition of Kalis gives the Wolverines 19 commitments in the class of 2012 and their third Top 100 player. He is also the fifth offensive lineman to verbally pledge as Hoke overhauls the offense in Ann Arbor.

Kalis makes flip from Ohio State to Michigan

First off, as one of the biggest Michigan fans there ever was, I would have to say I am disgusted by the way some of our fans are crowing about the happenings in Columbus. Our football team has not proven a thing lately. Ohio State has handled us in every way possible the last decade. It's been an embarrassing time for the Maize and Blue. Now, the tide seems to be turning and we are all talking smack and we haven't even played ONE GAME!! Ohio State will come back from this and Michigan needs them to, just like Ohio State needs Michigan to succeed. Ohio State didn't really, REALLY need to easily handle Michigan for a decade. They BOTH need the rivalry to be just that-a rivalry where there's ebb and flow.

Trust me, I'll be the FIRST one talking smack, but it'll be AFTER we beat you guys, not before.

Listen up Michigan TURDS... Terrelle Prior getting cash, a couple of free tatoos, and driving a flashy car had no affect on whether or not the Buckeyes beat Michigan the last three years.  The Buckeyes beat Michigan because Michigan is a garbage program with a bunch of panzy-ass players.  Over the last few years you Michigan TURDS have lost to the likes of Toledo and App. State.  And you lost to Mississippi State 52-14.  What a joke team you have.  Garbage.  Yes, you managed to snatch a recruit away from the  Bucks but there is no reason to believe that the OSU streak over scUM will be over anytime soon.  Garbage Grady Hoke is fat and has a 47-50 all time record.  Your team was 110th in total defense and 109th in turnover margin last year.  Bottom line... you guys sucked the last several years, are going to suck this year, and will continue to suck in the future.  You won't beat the Bucks, Nebraska, MSU, or Iowa this year and won't come close to making the Big 10 championship game.  Sorry suckers.  By the way, it's funny that Michigan is supposed to be this great educational institution yet all of you Michigan jokers that post on here are so stupid.  Clearly you didn't graduate from Michigan (or any other place of higher learning.)  Have fun watching the games from your trailer park this year.

A forfeit is a loss.

You skunkweasels are so desperate for a victory that you are now making crap up.  OSU is vacating victories, not forfeiting games.  This does not put a L in OSU's loss column nor does it put a W in scUM's win column.  Congrats, switching Kalis's verbal from OSU to scUM is a victory for your program.  But it has still been 2,788 days since scUM has seen victory on the scoreboard.

Ohio State has to play Toledo this year, a team that has come close to beating them, and of course, OSU will be without its suspended players.  You're creating great "bulletin board" material.

UFanofMichGrad, Toledo has "come close to beating" OSU?  Did I read that correctly? ROTFLMAO at that dumbass comment!!!!  OSU is 2-0 vs Toledo....49-0 & 38-0 wins.  Missedagain may have had their struggles with the mighty Rockets, but OSU certainly never has.
