When Lakewood (Ohio) offensive lineman Kyle Kalis decommitted from Ohio State following the resignation of Jim Tressel, many pegged archrival Michigan as the odds-on favorite to land the top 100 prospect. Sunday afternoon, Kalis ended speculation and made it public that he will be a Wolverine.

Why Michigan? "The coaches, recruiting class, feeling comfortable," Kalis told 247Sports.com.

The 6-foot-5, 300-pounder is ranked 61st overall in the class of 2012 by MaxPreps and is just the latest addition to an impressive recruiting class by new head coach Brady Hoke. Kalis is the son of former NFL offensive lineman Todd Kalis, who went to school at Arizona State and played for the Vikings, Steelers and Bengals during an eight-year career.

Kalis told MGoBlog.com that he would have committed to Michigan several weeks ago following his first official visit but that his coach told him to wait. Instead, he committed following his second unofficial visit to the school on Sunday and has already started recruiting for the school.

The addition of Kalis gives the Wolverines 19 commitments in the class of 2012 and their third Top 100 player. He is also the fifth offensive lineman to verbally pledge as Hoke overhauls the offense in Ann Arbor.

Kalis makes flip from Ohio State to Michigan

Eh hum..hehe. Thanks, I havent laughed like that for a while. WAS is the key word, then came USC then what is the biggest scandal and example of rule breaking and sanctions since SMU is NOW and TUOS. Funny, I dont remember this JT only a guy who will vacate his whole legacy named "Dirty Jim"....So yeah, looks like the 9 of 11 cooper years is the latest LEGIT coaching record I can remmeber on paper. Sorry, WEAKLINGS..Keep em coming.

Oh, by Joke do you mean snagging the top three players from your state in his first year and after a 7-6 record. BUWAHAHAAA!

Michigan fans have got to be the most hypocritical fans ever.  Have you forgotten that your football team is on probation right now for a cheating coach? Have you forgoten that your school was the center of one of the worst NCAA cases in history?  How quickly you forget.

Tides are turning, Tressel drove OSU in the ground, over and obsession to win, As if he did it himself. The only thing he really did was kill a University!

And the intelligence continues to pour out as if it can't be stopped!! I wonder if you are truly representative of all of the OSU faithful. I can only hope not. Try to remember this, profanity is the literary crutch of the ignorant. Try to think about that for a while.

Michigan fans have got to be the most hypocritical fans ever.  Have you forgotten that your football team is on probation right now for a cheating coach? Have you forgoten that your school was the center of one of the worst NCAA cases in history?  How quickly you forget.

"The University of Michigan basketball scandal or Ed Martin scandal was a six-year investigation of the relationship between the University of Michigan, its men's basketball teams and basketball team booster Ed Martin. As a result of the investigation, the Wolverine men's basketball program was punished for numerous National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) rules violations, principally involving payments booster Martin made to several players to launder money from an illegal gambling operation. It is one of the largest incidents involving payments to college athletes in American collegiate history. An initial investigation by the school was joined by the NCAA, Big Ten Conference, Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), Internal Revenue Service (IRS), and the United States Department of Justice (DOJ)."

"On May 8, 2003; the NCAA accepted Michigan's sanctions. It also imposed an additional two years' probation and docked the school one scholarship a year from 2004–2005 until 2007–2008. It also ordered the school to disassociate itself from Webber, Traylor, Taylor and Bullock until 2013. The NCAA also barred Michigan from postseason play for the 2003–04 season. Infractions committee chairman Thomas Yeager, who had come very close to imposing the "death penalty" on the University of Alabama football program a few months earlier, called the Martin/Michigan affair "one of the three or four most egregious violations of NCAA bylaws" ever. The disassociation meant that Michigan could not accept donations or recruiting assistance from any of the players for ten years. The NCAA criticized Fisher for allowing Martin access to the program, but did not sanction him. The University announced its intention to appeal the additional one year suspension from post-season play. As a result of the sanctions, Ellerbe's successor, Tommy Amaker, received a four-year contract extension to compensate for the duties while under probation, and Bernard Robinson, Jr. had the right to transfer without sitting out a year because, as the only scholarship senior, the ineligibility extended for his entire remaining scholarship tenure.

So I suggest that you shut your pie hole and start preparing for your annual butt whipping by OSU. Please try not to loose to another D2 school as that takes some of the fun out of kicking your A$$.

Unbelievable

Hoke is a Joke......This is the kind of senseless babble that does nothing more than identify you as the true idiot that you must be. I can only say that I am totally in awe of not only the intelligence of your comment, but the incredibly professional way that it is presented and written. No doubt that you were an English Major. Again, I respect your loyalty to your Buckeyes. But I would think that if you were going to waste your time, and everyone else's, by posting here, that it might be something that contains some level of reason and intelligence. You truly must do more than cling to 7.68 years of winning by cheating. If all of this is too difficult for you to understand, then let me go to basic and simple. You forfeited to Michigan last year, Genius. That means you lost.
