When Lakewood (Ohio) offensive lineman Kyle Kalis decommitted from Ohio State following the resignation of Jim Tressel, many pegged archrival Michigan as the odds-on favorite to land the top 100 prospect. Sunday afternoon, Kalis ended speculation and made it public that he will be a Wolverine.

Why Michigan? "The coaches, recruiting class, feeling comfortable," Kalis told 247Sports.com.

The 6-foot-5, 300-pounder is ranked 61st overall in the class of 2012 by MaxPreps and is just the latest addition to an impressive recruiting class by new head coach Brady Hoke. Kalis is the son of former NFL offensive lineman Todd Kalis, who went to school at Arizona State and played for the Vikings, Steelers and Bengals during an eight-year career.

Kalis told MGoBlog.com that he would have committed to Michigan several weeks ago following his first official visit but that his coach told him to wait. Instead, he committed following his second unofficial visit to the school on Sunday and has already started recruiting for the school.

The addition of Kalis gives the Wolverines 19 commitments in the class of 2012 and their third Top 100 player. He is also the fifth offensive lineman to verbally pledge as Hoke overhauls the offense in Ann Arbor.

He is a very good player but not a great player,OSU could have used him but this isn't that big of a deal, the Bucks are going to lose out on some of the players that are soft and want it easy and aren't true Buckeyes. The don't need and us fans don't want players that aren't true Buckeyes that want to be there.

Mike Vrabel is nothing but a dirty thief, Ohio's type you can have him. As far as Kalis goes he doesnt care to play with a bunch of cheaters waiting for the NCAA to lower the axe...........GO BLUE  HOW DOES IT FEEL TO TAKE A BACK SEAT TO MICHIGAN ..YEAH

OK buckjier, typical bs jargon from miami of the north. It was ok when j. boren walked away from the wolverines to join your ragtag team but give crap to a recruit for seeing what the buckeyes are all about. win at all cost. nice college motto. i never liked the buckeyes but i used to respect them, they were always the hardest hitting team, bar none they would punish you win or loose. now they are just a bunch of spoiled punks who threw away the spirit of clooge football for dollars, bitches and cars. good luck getting back to the good old days.

All bets are TOSU will not get a bowl ban nor will they get any additional penalties other than what has already been announced by the school. Remember this, Fickell is a coach trained under the tutledge of Jim Tressel.  Learn to live with it, UM is another two years away from making any real dent in the Big 10, especially with Nebraska joing the Big 10. That is, unless you think that UM will start all Freshman next year. You could possibly pin all your hopes on that. LMAO

Mr. Kalis

This shows what type of person you are and especially what type of player you will be to your school up North team mates. You have shown that when the going gets the least bit rocky you will bail and save your own butt. It will be a pleasure watching TOSU whoop up on you and your fellow second tier footballers in November.

Laughing all the way to the bank!!!!

Wow!   More proof of Ohio State's impending irrelevance.  I must admit it's really a shame to see the Suckeyes suddenly swirling the bowl like this.  It would have been a lot more fun watching Hoke crush Tressel straight up.

No matter what the NCAA does to us, there's enough talent in the State of Ohio to field a team that will kick Michigan's butt once again!  I just hope you don't get held up in Toledo again!  Maybe a tough match with Otterbein or Western Michigan to help get some wins!  Oh wait, that's right you have trouble with D2 schools too!

Oh, wow--one out of how many???  Michigan State wouldn't have a program without Ohio and now it looks like you have to have our Ohio players, too.  Why don't you have your own players in Michigan?????

Vrabel is the Man!  At least we have coaches who've done something...you couldn't even do anything with a retread from West Virginia...Nice!
Go back to work at the Automotive plant..oh wait it's closed, sorry!
