When Lakewood (Ohio) offensive lineman Kyle Kalis decommitted from Ohio State following the resignation of Jim Tressel, many pegged archrival Michigan as the odds-on favorite to land the top 100 prospect. Sunday afternoon, Kalis ended speculation and made it public that he will be a Wolverine.

Why Michigan? "The coaches, recruiting class, feeling comfortable," Kalis told 247Sports.com.

The 6-foot-5, 300-pounder is ranked 61st overall in the class of 2012 by MaxPreps and is just the latest addition to an impressive recruiting class by new head coach Brady Hoke. Kalis is the son of former NFL offensive lineman Todd Kalis, who went to school at Arizona State and played for the Vikings, Steelers and Bengals during an eight-year career.

Kalis told MGoBlog.com that he would have committed to Michigan several weeks ago following his first official visit but that his coach told him to wait. Instead, he committed following his second unofficial visit to the school on Sunday and has already started recruiting for the school.

The addition of Kalis gives the Wolverines 19 commitments in the class of 2012 and their third Top 100 player. He is also the fifth offensive lineman to verbally pledge as Hoke overhauls the offense in Ann Arbor.

Ahhh....the smell of cheating is in the air.  Must be Buckeye fan rolling up in his 4X4 (that's not 16 by the way Buckeye fan, in case you were wondering).  So funny how Bucknut is proud to have gotten away with cheating with Tressel for the past 10 years.  It's a badge of honor as long as you beat Michigan.  Well all I can say is I hope you had fun.  Remember how Michigan was crushed the last 3 years under a new regime?  How many people felt sorry for them?  Not many.  Have fun in your misery, rebuilding, and becoming the overall joke of the Big 10.  HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!  (Don't worry Buckeye if you're still trying to figure out the 4X4 thing, it might take a minute.)

One thing UM fans, players, coaches...whoever...can do - is take it on the chin...back...head...chest...wherev

er.  That is all you scum bags are good for.  I can't wait for the Buckeyes to smack the crap out of you for the next 10 years with "lesser" coaches and players.  Good luck with Brady Choke!  UM SUCKS!

It baffles me as to how many people on here that have posted about the past 10 years, of how Michigan has gotten beat up for those contests since Tressel came to OSU. One thing that gets overlooked is the 10 years prior to that when Cooper was coaching OSU. Do you OSU fans need to be reminded of that? Both teams have suffered losses that within their own fan base are absolutely horrific ex. App State (who by the way won the National title that year as the best Div. 2 team) or a sub par Illinois team. OSU got a huge lift in spirits when Tressel showed up on campus. One of his first missions was to start planning on beating Michigan. One fatal flaw of Tressel was his "Win at all cost" attitude. It would later lead to his demise in college coaching. One thing to consider before you go spouting off as to how well your beloved buckeyes will rebound from this, as your recruiting suffers from even the possibility of sanctions from the NCAA, this will cause a ripple affect whether you want to admit it or not. Losing a recruit at the last minute hurts in more ways than one. You as a scout or coach have put multiple man hours in "wooing" this prospect to your university. If he changes his mind at the last minute you have wasted valuable time that could have been spent on someone else. Your whole recruiting suffers because of this. This will have lasting affects in the years to come. We as Michigan fans have had the unfortunate circumstance of seeing just how bad recruiting can hurt your team. We have been the doormat of the Big 10 for the last 3 years. One thing we haven't been though is the laughing stock of the Big 10. With this huge black eye for OSU, you as fans have to stop this constant tooting of your horn. For once the horns need to be silent until the dust settles, the NCAA hands down judgement, and OSU starts running a clean program again. No more can you spout on about the last 10 years or how bad we were. You can't drone on about "all the other schools are doing it too we just happened to get caught, you are next" defense. All the other schools don't have an office specifically set up for the NCAA infractions committee. To all the OSU fans out there who are holding there collective breath....I say shut up and take it like a FAN.

One thing else Kalis, leave that putrid red OSCU mantality behind if you come to this elite university. The suckeye stuff ends before you enter the big house.

Who the hell wants to play for criminal university anyway. I am surprised that everybody hasn't bugged out that decrepid place. Hey recruits, come to Ohio State Criminal University and we we lie and cheat and do whatever we can to win the game and you will receive an honorary welcome to crime pin until you actually get away with lieing and/or cheating. Stealing or mugging will be considered in the process. So, who wants to get a degree in criminal intent?
