There's momentum on the recruiting trail and there's a Mack truck going 80 down the highway. Tennessee recruiting is the latter this month, grabbing yet another commitment Thursday afternoon in Norcross (Ga.) wide receiver Jason Croom.
“I feel like they will be able to make me a better man and push me academically,” Croom told GVX247com, “and it’s a great program.”
The 6-foot-4, 225-pound receiver held offers from Auburn, Arkansas, Michigan, Michigan State and others but selected Tennessee over his other finalist, Mississippi State.
“I didn’t choose Mississippi State because somebody told me when I started visiting these schools that I will know for sure that’s the school I want to go to,” he said. “And when I went down (to Tennessee), I felt different about all the other places."
Croom had caught 30 passes for five touchdowns and over 500 yards last season as a junior. He is Tennessee's 16th commitment and third in the past week.
