After Auburn lost Atlanta (Ga.) cornerback Geno Smith to rival Alabama, the Tigers wasted no time in finding a replacement for their class of 2012 and managed to stay in the same state while doing so after Carrollton (Ga.) corner Jonathan Jones committed to the program over the weekend.

"I love everything about Auburn," Jones told AuburnSports.com. "I love the family atmosphere, how close everyone is. I love the coaches. I feel like I have a second family at Auburn."
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution labels the 5-foot-11, 175-pounder as the state's "fastest football recruit" thanks to his speed on the track and the gridiron. Jones held offers from a host of schools, including Georgia Tech, Mississippi State and Stanford but Auburn ended up the place for him.

"After I got the offer from Auburn, I pretty much knew that is where I would go," he said. "I really like the campus. It's a great college atmosphere and I think a great place to go to college. It's also not too far from home."

Jones is the 14th commitment for Auburn's class of 2012 and second corner from the state of Georgia headed to the Plains.
