Ohio State is turning their season around on the field and that's paying off elsewhere as well. Hours after the Buckeyes upset victory over Wisconsin, Woodland Hills (Calif.) receiver Michael Thomas committed to the program.“The game was electrifying,” Thomas told the Columbus Dispatch. “The stadium was rocking. Who would not want to play in front of these great fans?”
Thomas did not sign out of high school and has spent the year at Fork Union Military Academy in Virginia. He is the nephew of NFL All-Pro receiver Keyshawn Johnson and held offers from Nebraska, Notre Dame and UCLA among others. Possible issues with the NCAA didn't deter him from committing to Ohio State over his other offers however.
“The future is very bright for the program, and I can come in early and contribute right away,” he said.
The 6-foot-3, 200-pound Thomas is the third wide receiver and 14th commitment for Ohio State.
