Urban Meyer's recruiting haul continued on Tuesday, with Windsor (Col.) offensive lineman Joey O'Connor becoming the latest to commit to Ohio State's impressive class of 2012.

"I called coach Meyer and he was excited that I committed and welcomed me to the family," O'Connor told BuckeyeGrove.com.

The 6-foot-4, 290-pound lineman was previously committed to Penn State and also considered California and Iowa seriously. O'Connor but did not hold an offer from the Buckeyes until visiting this past weekend but made the decision to commit after getting one and talking things over with his family.

"Yeah (the visit) was good," he said. "They and I feel that it is what is best for me."

O'Connor gives Ohio State 21 commitments for the class of 2012, which will sign in just over two weeks. He is also the fourth lineman to pledge to Meyer this year and might not be the last.

I hope so......alot of Washington State's top football players are leaving the state.  Hopefully with the new coaching addition's, they can keep most of them and get a couple who are commited to Cal like S Shaq Thompson.  But, there is what, 2 weeks left until signing day so they have alot of work to do.  I keep a tab on the national recruiting scene and when OSU hired Urban, I knew they were going to get alot more 5/4 star recruits and move quickly up in the recruiting rankings.  Now, I know OSU will be able to recruit down South and get those big, fast, athletic lineman.  And, Urban will get his star QB too, remember, he not only had Tebow, but also had Cam Newton.  Its scary to think how good Ohio St. will be very quickly!

No way Urban leaves his dream job for the NFL.  How many Head Coaching positions open up at great football schools like Ohio St?  Not many!  When Ohio St. got rid of Tressel and called him.....I bet he didn't think twice about coming out of retirement!  Like Buckeyefan67 said, he is from Ohio and I believe that is where he started his coaching career.

leave college for pro ?  aint happening.  FYI--this was the ONE job and ONLY job he would leave the ESPN  for.  Both he and his wife are OSU alums , both from Ohio and the OSU  HC job was the one obj he had put in his previous coaching contracts that he could leave for IF  it became available .  He isnt going anywhere but kicking B1G and Michigan Tech 's butt annually.  MEET THE NEW BOSS--same as the old boss...but then you already know about being dominated , huh??

Wow Meyer's really rolling on the recruiting trail. At least the cupboard won't be bare when he quits to go coach the love of his life in Denver next year.  Good job, Buckeyes.

All I can say is WOW!  Since Ohio St. hired Urban Meyer......he's getting alot of 5/4 star recruits.  Amazing what a great coaching hire can do.  Ohio St. will be able to compete and win games against the SEC's elite teams because Ohio St. will have the talent to do so.  Congrats to Ohio St. on the new hire!
