LSU's staff has quickly moved on from their national title loss and turned their full attention to the recruiting trail, efforts that paid off on Saturday with the commitment of Patterson (La.) linebacker Lorenzo Phillips.

"I committed, so the visit was all good," Phillips told TigerSportsDigest.com. "It was home, and I felt like I was already a part of the family when I showed up."

The 6-foot-1, 200-pounder also held offers from Alabama, Florida, Texas A&M and others. His recent visit to Baton Rouge seemed to seal the deal for the Tigers however.

Phillips becomes the 21st commitment for LSU's class of 2012 and comes on the heels of running back Jeremy Hill enrolling in school.
