Here's a bit of advice for college coaches across the country: if a player has given you his commitment already, do everything in your power to keep that recruit from visiting Texas the weekend before signing day.

Defensive end Bryce Cottrell of Texas' Plano West announced that he'd switched his commitment from Oregon to Texas on Monday night.

“I’m committed to Texas,” Cottrell told the Austin American Statesman. “Texas fit me and my family.”

Cottrell becomes the third player to visit Texas over the weekend that decided to flip his commitment, joining athlete Daje Johnson (previously committed to TCU) and linebacker Dalton Santos (was committed to Tennessee). All of which means that Texas went three-for-three on its visits over the weekend, and if my math is correct, that's a 100% conversion rate.

Cottrell becomes the 27th member of Texas' class, and is the third defensive end to join the fray, along with Hassan Ridgeway and Caleb Bluiett
