At the rate Urban Meyer has been moving since taking over at Ohio State, I fully expect the Buckeyes will have put the finishing touches on their 2016 recruiting class by sometime in May of 2012. Although most schools will be signing off on their 2012 classes on Wednesday, Meyer and the Buckeyes have already picked up the second commitment of their 2013 class.

MaxPreps tells us that Ohio State has received a commitment from junior quarterback Jalin Marshall of Middletown, Ohio.

“It’s one of the biggest decisions of my life, and I feel like I made a great choice,” Marshall told the Middletown Journal. “It’s close to home, and it’s my childhood dream school. When they gave me the opportunity, I kind of knew where I wanted to go.”

Marshall is a 6-foot-1, 190-pound quarterback that was named co-Offensive Player of the Year in the Greater Miami Conference. He rushed for 1,859 yards, threw for 782 yards and scored a total of 26 touchdowns as a junior.

He joins cornerback Cam Burrows as the second member of Ohio State's 2013 class.

This kid is a 5 star stud.

He probably wont play QB @ OSU. He's going to be the "Percy Harvin" role in Meyer's spread offense.

Cam Burrows & Jalin Marshall are the 2 best players in Ohio in 2013. Nice to see them already locked up.

Jalin has blazing speed and will flourish in Meyer's spread offense.  This kid is a true playmaker and should become a great slot receiver for the Buckeyes!  With these early additions in Marshall and Burrows the 2013 class is off to a great start and will only get better having them help in recruiting.
