Though most have moved on to next year's recruiting class, Tennessee added one the final pieces to their 2012 group on Wednesday as Jacksonville (Fla.) linebacker Kenneth Bynum signed late with the Volunteers following a visit to Knoxville.

“I had a great time on my visit,” Bynum told InsideTennessee.com.

The 6-foot-2, 215-pounder was committed to Cincinnati but delayed signing in order to visit Tennessee. Bynum also held offers from schools such as North Carolina, Rutgers and West Virginia but was impressed with the UT staff and new defensive coordinator Sal Sunseri in particular.

“He is an intense guy and he really seems like he knows his stuff,” Bynum said. “He has coached a lot of great players. I think he is a great coach. It was nice to meet with him.”

Bynum becomes Tennessee's 22nd class of 2012 commitment.
