Pickerington (Ohio) tight end Jake Butt left Ann Arbor without committing on Saturday but the experience on his unofficial visit to Michigan left such an impression that the talented pass catcher decided to go ahead and pull the trigger and commit to the Wolverines on Sunday.
"Officially a wolverine!!! #goblue," Butt tweeted.
The 6-foot-6, 225-pounder was one of the top players in the Midwest at his position and had offers from Iowa, Stanford, UCLA and Wisconsin among others. Butt caught close to 30 passes last season as a junior for just over 400 yards and a total of seven touchdowns.
With a productive recruiting weekend and BUtt's commitment, Michigan now has 10 players in the upcoming class of 2013. The Wolverines signed the nation's fourth-ranked class earlier this month and will bring in two tight ends this fall as a result.
