Andre Deveaux of the New York Rangers wasn't quite as lucky as Winnipeg's Zach Bogosian when it came to the result of his Thanksgiving day meeting with the NHL's disciplinary board.
The NHL announced on Friday that Deveaux has been suspended three games as a result of his elbow to the head of Panthers forward Tomas Fleischmann during Florida's 2-1 win on Wednesday night.
Here's Brendan Shanahan's latest video explaining the punishment:
The three-game suspension will leave Deveaux sidelined for the Rangers' upcoming games against Wasington (Friday), Philadelphia (Saturday) and Pittsburgh (Tuesday). He will be eligible to return to the New York lineup Thursday, Dec. 1 when the Rangers travel to Carolina to take on the Hurricanes.
