How to Play:

It's simple, really. Look at the sports-related pictures above, and give us your funniest caption for any or all of them. You can write as many captions for each as you would like.

The contest runs daily, Monday-Thursday. Each day's contest will usually be posted by noon ET, and will usually end around 11 p.m. ET. If I decide that your caption is the funniest or most clever submitted for that picture, it will be declared a winner.

Winning captions will be announced when the contest ends. There will be one winner for each picture, and also one winner for the person who can string together the 5 best captions all with the same theme.

You will be awarded one point for each winning caption that you post. You will see a running tally on the scoreboard, which will be posted at the beginning and end of each day. At the end of each month a champion is declared, and we shower that user in praise and adulation! We add his screenname to the Wall-O-Fame, and then we start everyone's score back at 0.

This contest is just for fun, and there are no real prizes at this time. Who thinks they can make us laugh? :)

Guys named Larry:

1) Surprised, but impressed, by the results her husband Larry had achieved taking the Enzyte, Cynthia proclaimed “it will be wonderful not to ask the - are you in me? question ever again”.

2) The lack of attendance at Nationals games made it the perfect place for Larry to work on his short game.

3) Upon being laid off after 43 loyal years of service, Squiddly Diddly vowed to take revenge on Atom Ant, Secret Squirrel and some guy named Larry. He kept his vow and is now serving 3 consecutive life terms in the Bikini Bottom Jail.

4) Moe was not pleased with Larry & Curly’s antics. He later was overheard recruiting Shemp back to the show.

5) Larry said that this was almost as exciting as when he threw out the first pitch at the old Yankee Stadium in 1923.

Photo 1) OMG!  I am going to look like that when I am old?

Photo 2) To boost attendance at Jacobs Field, Indians ownership decided to spice things up by giving the city of Cleveland a state of the art driving range.

Photo 3) Getting ready to take on their arch rival, the Red Wings decided it was time to call up their new defenseman in hopes he can give the team an advantage with his enhanced mobility. Unfortunately the uniforms only came with two arm sleeves.

Photo 4) The Yankees will do anything to keep the crowd from complaining about the new stadium ticket prices; however pie throwing contests unfortunately went the way of 10 cent beer night.

Photo 5) Prior to throwing out the first pitch, Larry King decided to hold a press conference to announce that he took steriods in order to enhance his broadcasting abilities so that CNN would not can his talk show. MLB baseball took this picture to show young fans what steriods could do to you when you are older.

#1)  Kelly reacts to the news she has been given the role of "Jimmy" in Warner Bros film version of HR Pufnstuf... until she finds out Regis will be playing the part of "Witchiepoo"... the plot is rumored to involve Jimmy's quest to recover Freddy from the IRS, confiscated by the government for estate tax purposes after the death of HR Pufnstuf.  Pufnstuf is suspected to have committed suicide by intentionally crashing the Vroom Broom into the castle after learning his character was originally named "Luther".

Heh, heh...

#2)  The Padres have become so desperate for sales that the purchase of two game tickets now includes a parking pass, two hot dogs, two drinks, and a bucket of balls before the game.
