How to Play:

It's simple, really. Look at the sports-related pictures above, and give us your funniest caption for any or all of them. You can write as many captions for each as you would like.

The contest runs daily, Monday-Thursday. Each day's contest will usually be posted by noon ET, and will usually end around 11 p.m. ET. If I decide that your caption is the funniest or most clever submitted for that picture, it will be declared a winner.

Winning captions will be announced when the contest ends. There will be one winner for each picture, and also one winner for the person who can string together the 5 best captions all with the same theme.

You will be awarded one point for each winning caption that you post. You will see a running tally on the scoreboard, which will be posted at the beginning and end of each day. At the end of each month a champion is declared, and we shower that user in praise and adulation! We add his screenname to the Wall-O-Fame, and then we start everyone's score back at 0.

This contest is just for fun, and there are no real prizes at this time. Who thinks they can make us laugh? :)

4) With Bill Murray long gone, and even Jackie Mason and Dan Ackroyd taking a pass, the producers had to turn to the dancing Gopher to star in Caddyshack 3.

2.  Reggie and A-Rod discuss the marketability of their names to the general public.  It's soon realized that although the Reggie Bar was a hit in candy stores with little kids, the "A-Rod" sounds more like something you'd find in an adult toy store.

#3)  Contrary to what your eyes may tell you, this is not a pic of Brett Favre's NFL news conference.  It is a new media blitz announcing Favre as the posterchild of Obamacare.

#3 - "Yeah, so all that I'm here to say that I will play my 2 years here at Minnesota and then end my un-retirement.....again. Then maybe I'll buy a team, well at least partial ownership. I guess after a few years of doing that I'll get the itch to play sports again so maybe I'll go play minor league baseball for a while but I'll probably suck at it. So then maybe I'll stop doing that and join a MLB baseball team as the skipper and get caught making bets from the dugout and get a lifetime ban. But that won't be enough for me, no no no. Next I'll probably get busted driving drunk and running over some poor jay-walker on the way to my illegal horse fighting business. That will be fun!! And lastly, I was thinking it would be cool to shoot myself in the leg in a Minneapolis nightclub. Just wanted to get that out in the open before any rumors started. Any questions?"
