How to Play:

It's simple, really. Look at the sports-related pictures above, and give us your funniest caption for any or all of them. You can write as many captions for each as you would like.

The contest runs daily, Monday-Thursday. Each day's contest will usually be posted by noon ET, and will usually end around 11 p.m. ET. If I decide that your caption is the funniest or most clever submitted for that picture, it will be declared a winner.

Winning captions will be announced when the contest ends. There will be one winner for each picture, and also one winner for the person who can string together the 5 best captions all with the same theme.

You will be awarded one point for each winning caption that you post. You will see a running tally on the scoreboard, which will be posted at the beginning and end of each day. At the end of each month a champion is declared, and we shower that user in praise and adulation! We add his screenname to the Wall-O-Fame, and then we start everyone's score back at 0.

This contest is just for fun, and there are no real prizes at this time. Who thinks they can make us laugh? :)

Why did my post get deleted? It didn't say anything that was offensive as far as I know. I am usually so careful to watch that too.

Not to get picky Joe, but 6+1=7.  Just gets me one closer to my goal of double digits.

Chasing the River_Rat is like chasing Jimmie Johnson.   Just hoping for a podium finish.

Thanks for the correction.

Twinsfanz
1. Shortly thereafter, they both drove their trophies into the heart of the beast, ending his reign of evil shenanigans

River_Rat
2.  Come on pull...pull get me out of here.  I can't take any more beatings from Cable or passes from JaMarcus.

D2Moo
3.  Charlie Weis got all choked up when the players gave him a season's ending gift.  Then he realized ND still had games left.

Tarheel_rockman
#4)  I've lost more wristwatches that way than I can count...

River_Rat
5.. I'm so glad that my prostate is alright, thanks doc..........ummm when are you going to take your finger out of there?

 Can't Believe

1) Usain Bolt can't believe Berlino the Bear is using his fake medal to reflect light towards Michelle's transparent shirt.
2) The Raiders can't believe that the Bungles would show up to help them remove that monkey from their backs.
3) Charlie Weiss can't believe he's seeing the hand of God moments before it begins writing on his wall-sized stomach.
4) Dominique can't believe his luck as his performance involves props that include a hand mirror and a flashlight.
5) Marco can't believe his teammate would choose to do the rusty train celebration when it was clear that he wanted to go with the airplane.

Hands off.  Besides, he said he'll stay at Florida as long as they'll have him (or at least until his kids grow up and somebody else gets ND back on track.  Why would he want to leave now?).

Hey, I think you all could get Ron Zook back, soooooo, that's a pretty even trade. And then maybe Kiffin could steal away a few FL prospects that won't end up in jail.Yell

#2 - When Oakland announced that they were going to invent their own version of the "Lambeau Leap", Green Bay officials would have nothing of it.  So they hired what they thought was going to be a retired hitman from the mob, but it turned out to be just the escaped monkey from the Milwaukee Zoo. It was kinda awkward, but it got pretty much the same result.

No doubt BuccinGator. Put a wig on him and let him sing cause its over. Now, if only Notre Dame can steal away Urban...He wouldn't have Kiffin to kick around anymore. That would be alright for me, see the Vols have a chance in the SEC east.

#4 - Michelle is once again thanking her lucky stars that she had the foresight to have her spine removed and having a handle installed just below her belly button.

Actually, I think it's making it's way up to the collar to yank him off, stage left.

Picture 1: Mr. Bolt picks up the Wilt Chamberlain Award, for picking-up the most women in record breaking time.
Picture 2; One Raider player fell for the Ol' "bannana in the tailpipe" trick. Lucky or unlucky for him, there was a fan to help him out with that.
Picture 3: The next coach of the Washington Huskies for the 2010 season is...................... this guy Foot in mouth....?
Picture 4: The Gretzky # 99 tribute was a little to graphic for some folks.
Picture 5: Whenever you win something in San Fransisco, its best to do so with your back against the wall.
Picture 5. 1 of Joe's comments was deleted by the CBS cops Surprised . Where are the cops when you need them?
