How to Play:

It's simple, really. Look at the sports-related pictures above, and give us your funniest caption for any or all of them. You can write as many captions for each as you would like.

The contest runs daily, Monday-Thursday. Each day's contest will usually be posted by noon ET, and will usually end around 11 p.m. ET. If I decide that your caption is the funniest or most clever submitted for that picture, it will be declared a winner.

Winning captions will be announced when the contest ends. There will be one winner for each picture, and also one winner for the person who can string together the 5 best captions all with the same theme.

You will be awarded one point for each winning caption that you post. You will see a running tally on the scoreboard, which will be posted at the beginning and end of each day. At the end of each month a champion is declared, and we shower that user in praise and adulation! We add his screenname to the Wall-O-Fame, and then we start everyone's score back at 0.

This contest is just for fun, and there are no real prizes at this time. Who thinks they can make us laugh? :)

#2: We were told that Gilbert Arenas wanted to duel. Anyone seen him?
#3: I was hoping...that if I just touch you...just once...then maybe...just maybe...I can get onto the big TV screen. Is that ok?
#4: And if your cameras will follow me to our other sponsor...Verizon...with their claim: surf the internet while driving...at speeds faster than stock cars. Needless to say, we are excited about our new sponsors. Together with Budweiser and Hot-Pockets we are revolutionizing the advertising market.
#5: I'm not smiling at you...it's just gas.

5.  Ktopp was hired to test the strength of the new Dancer Cages.  With Mandy safely inside, the test proved to be successful for the manufacture.  However when an oiled up Turkish Bodybuilder was placed inside, Ktopp thru the bars like cardboard.
I guess it just goes to show that if you just mention my name in a caption, Joe will eat it up like candy. Nice job River.

1) Invisible limbo, trying to make your elbows touch behind your back, yes indeed, there wasn't a single trick that guys have invented to make a girl show off her curves that Shakira doesn't fall for every single time.

2. Ashamed of the small size of his codpiece, Mitchell was the only Storm Trooper to cover his with a half-length black skirt.

The Catholic Church has demanded I hand over my theme post for Fat Tuesday to spread their message.
7 Deadly Sins, or 7 virtues, and why?

By Pope Benedict XVI

1) The sin of lust - While this may seem like a typical God-fearing woman preparing for the missionary position, one must be careful to take note of the female's legs, still perched on the ground. This could easily lead to doing the Forbidden Dance, which is cause for excommunication.

2) The sin of envy - We all know that Star Wars geeks are seriously jealous of the Star Trek dweebs, who get to use awesome phasers and make out with the hot Betazoid with the huge 80's hair, Troi or whoever it was. This is unhealthy and takes us away from belief in God, or if you like, the Q Continuum.

3) The sin of greed - Also acceptable, pride. Also, considering how close David Stern is to LeBron, you would figure he would consider believing in Jesus. In due time, David. In due time...

4) The virtue of temperance - One has to assume that by "Please drink responsibility", they mean "don't drink one drop", since Crown Royal is as overrated as the Methodist Church is. BOOM! POPE SLAM!

5) The virtue of chasity - When one can't handle the Church's teaching of abstinence on their own, caging yourself off from society is really the only way to go. Unless you are willing to accept the bond of holy matrimony. Or are a young boy and are willing to accept a large US Savings Bond of  hush money. Either way, really.

Another one of those days with limited or no access to the computer.  So let's make up for lost time.

1.  Shakira auditions to be the girlfriend of Sir Butt Cheeks.

2.  The NBA employs extra security when Charles Barkley announces he is bringing his driver to the arena.

3.  Jerry Jones and David Stern discuss their going problem.

4.  Drink responsibly?  You're supposed to do that.

5.  Here's a new way to heat water,  Run copper tubes near a smokin' hot babe and allow her to heat 'em up.

4.  Although the "Crown Royal Series" will be third tier compared to the Sprint Cup and Nationwide Series, organizers hope some subtle rule changes will help the new Nascar series draw fans.  For example, all drivers will be required to drink Crown Royal before and during the race.  Former golfer
John Daly is rumored to be interested in joining the new league as a driver or crew chief, as is West Virginia basketball coach Bob Huggins.

3.  Stern: "Hey, Jerry, thanks for letting us use your $1 billion arena for our all-star game.  Now did you have security beat the crap out of that a$$ Mark Cuban, like i asked?"
