How to play:

It's simple, really. Look at the sports-related pictures above, and give us your funniest caption for any or all of them. You can write as many captions for each as you would like.

The challenge runs daily, Monday-Thursday. Each day's competition will usually be posted by noon ET, and will usually end around 11 p.m. ET. On Monday and Wednesday, Community member ktopp24 will be the judge. On Tuesday and Thursday, I'll run the show. If one of the judges decide that your caption is the funniest or most clever submitted for that picture, it will be declared a winner.

Winning captions will be announced when that day's challenge ends. There will be one winner for each picture, and also one winner for the person who can string together the 5 best captions all with the same theme.

You will be awarded one point for each winning caption that you post. You will see a running tally on the scoreboard, which will be posted at the beginning and end of each day. At the end of each month a champion is declared, and we shower that user in praise and adulation! We add his screenname to the Wall-O-Fame, and then we start everyone's score back at zero.

This is just for fun, and there are no real prizes at this time. Who thinks they can make us laugh? :)

Also, may I be the 1st to welcome you Vive_Lebron. I can already tell thet you'll be a contender in this. Nice stuff my man!! Yeah... ditto that. Starting with a nice theme, no less. Smile
Thanks guys, I do what I can. Thought I had a chance to get on the scoreboard but, like everyone said, the competition was pretty tight. I'm feeling the pressure to preform now that i've been recognized by the great BuccinGator and Shuless Joe.

I hope I don't pull a JaMarcus and crumble under the hype! lol

Hmmm, should have realized anything disparaging Joe's favorite QB was doomed to lose.  As for the others, well, everybody seemed to be firing on all cylinders today.  Great job everybody.

1) Yeah, I've been at it since '92. Spent most of my career in one spot. I've got a lot of big fans that stay loyal to me no matter what. I've had a really great run. And you know, at this point it's not really about the money. I hesitate because, at my age, how can you expect me to perform in this kind of heat? I mean, I've been beat up over the years. Blindside tackles, ending up on the bottom of the pile, you name it. But I still love what I do. I'm not done. Nope, I won't quit until someone runs a background check and realizes I'm not supposed to be within 150 yards of a child. You gotta do what you love. Am I right Brett?"

Mr. Mo-Chi
2) Thank goodness that the Saints won the Super Bowl during the Obama administration. I still don't think that GW has any clue where New Orleans is!!

3) Alex Smith complains about being dubbed the "middle man" by the defense as his role only slows down and complicates the exchange between the center and Frank Gore.

4.  Life is tough for the conditioning test in Nashville.  The players are required to drag Wynonna Judd's lunch box from one endzone to the other.

5.  New at the Pizza Ranch is the new 16" Brett Favre pizza.  That is a 16" extra chrispy crust with sausage, green pepper and mushr...  No the brett is an 18" thick crust with pepperoni, ham, and extra chee.....  No, the Brett Favre is a french bread style....

Mr. Mo-Chi
You Make the Choice!
1) Disney character vs. fun loving NFL Quarterback : Which is our nation's most beloved "Goofy" character?
2) Reason for #44 on the jersey : President Obama's chronological number, or current approval rating?
3) More relevant #11 in football : Alex Smith, or Daunte Culpepper? Viva UFL!!!!
4) Why do the Titans have rope like this : For training, or to keep Vince Young under control?
5) Which will come next : Pizza Bungalow, or Pizza Two-Story Victorian?

#2 It seems that Obama will get the last laugh as the Saints all joke around. Obama steps up to the podium and announces the reason for number 44 is that's how many more years it will take the Saints to win another Super Bowl!

Photo Caption Challenge: Training Camp (Day 4)

#3 - During training camp, in order to remind the defense which players they are not allowed to hit, the team will have those players wear a red jersey. But if you have a player that nobody likes and you want him to quit the team so you can void his contract without any penalties, you put on the black jersey and let the defense loose.
