How to play:

It's simple, really. Look at the sports-related pictures above, and give us your funniest caption for any or all of them. You can write as many captions for each as you would like.

The challenge runs daily, Monday-Thursday. Each day's competition will usually be posted by noon ET, and will usually end around 11 p.m. ET. On Monday and Wednesday, Community member ktopp24 will be the judge. On Tuesday and Thursday, I'll run the show. If one of the judges decide that your caption is the funniest or most clever submitted for that picture, it will be declared a winner.

Winning captions will be announced when that day's challenge ends. There will be one winner for each picture, and also one winner for the person who can string together the 5 best captions all with the same theme.

You will be awarded one point for each winning caption that you post. You will see a running tally on the scoreboard, which will be posted at the beginning and end of each day. At the end of each month a champion is declared, and we shower that user in praise and adulation! We add his screenname to the Wall-O-Fame, and then we start everyone's score back at zero.

Phot Caption Challenge: Uh oh, Mike Singletary

Gilbert coaches some indoor team in my town of birth now. I should call my uncle and see if he ever comes into the family bar.

I'm guessing he'd have to go to the family bar because he qualifies as a family by himself?

In case anybody cares, I looked it up. His brother was named Akbar. He played for the Raiders and Dolphins. Neither brother is currently on an NFL team.

This is why I'm too lazy to look things up...you'll just do it for me.

Didn't he have a brother that played for Baltimore or some team? I thought he did.

Yea, he for sure had a brother in the league. Baltimore? That doesn't sound right...but it may be true. I'm too lazy to google it. The NBA is on, I'm worthless right now.

I think you're right about Gilbert eating him. I believe Burger King used KGB as the meat in those Gilbert Burgers they had for a couple years.

#1 - Here is Shuless Joe at his weekly press conference after kmvenne questioned him on what exactly a "Phot" Caption Challenge is.

He's had that same typo before.  I think he was just thinking about what SHOULD have been the winning caption for number 1 yesterday Cool.  And speaking of typos, maybe next time I can spell family right.

Wait Joe, how'd you do a quote box????

Working for CBS has it's priveledges.  Working quote boxes.  Unlimited friends and fmaily (and favs).  I'm sure secretly Joe can see the number of posts to his blog, too.  Probably others as well.

5) I was flipping channels between the game and Pawn Stars. During one of the plays that Bryant made, I think it was Jaws that said there was a reason why this guy was given the number 88, based on similarity. I wondered why the number was never retired. Then, Pawn Stars made me realize, antique coke machines don't retire, they just get restored.

Mo:
I had to read this like 4 times before I finally understood that you were talking about Michael Irvin. Very funny, nice work!!

I really liked KGB back when I liked the Pack. He had like 2 good years then fell off the face of the earth. I assume Gilbert Brown ate him.
