How to play:

It's simple, really. Look at the sports-related pictures above, and give us your funniest caption for any or all of them. You can write as many captions for each as you would like.

The challenge runs daily, Monday-Thursday. Each day's competition will usually be posted by noon ET, and will usually end around 11 p.m. ET. On Monday and Wednesday, Community member ktopp24 will be the judge. On Tuesday and Thursday, I'll run the show. If one of the judges decide that your caption is the funniest or most clever submitted for that picture, it will be declared a winner.

Winning captions will be announced when that day's challenge ends. There will be one winner for each picture, and also one winner for the person who can string together the 5 best captions all with the same theme.

You will be awarded one point for each winning caption that you post. You will see a running tally on the scoreboard, which will be posted at the beginning and end of each day. At the end of each month a champion is declared, and we shower that user in praise and adulation! We add his screenname to the Wall-O-Fame, and then we start everyone's score back at zero.

#1 - BuccinGator

Oh, I get it.  This is like when Bugs Bunny plays "This Little Piggy" with the poor sap desperately clinging for his life on the edge of a cliff.

#2 - D2Moo

Little Billy's odd looking growth on his head affected his vision when he tried to swing a bat.  Having a tatoo artist make it look like a baseball was the idea of his drunken father.  Either way you slice it, little Billy was behind the eight-ball on that deal.

#3 - Koufax32

Of course the breast cancer bull was going to win. After a double mastectomy, it was about 150 pounds lighter than the competition. (Yes, men get it too)

#4 - kmvenne

Not even Mark Cuban could have predicted how well putting hilarious Far Side comics on the jumbotron during stoppage of plays would go over with himself, his players, pretty much everyone in the arena, outside the guy who writes Family Circus who is sitting next to him, who, to be fair, finds nothing funny.

#5 - Mr. Mo-Chi

After 25 years of dedicated service, a former civics teacher was forced to retire from teaching, but soon found work as a karate instructor. "OK. Let's get started. When faced with an opponent who tries to strike first, you must first, A, block with your.... anyone......anyone..... right hand. Then, B, counterpunch with your..... anyone ..... anyone.... left hand.

Theme - BuccinGator

The Top 5 Reasons Donovan Was Benched:

Number 5: Shanahan decided to deliver a roundhouse to the intelligence of everyone by suggesting that Rex Grossman had a better grasp of the two minute offense in any FL starting with N, U, C, or A.

Number 4: Shanahan thought by inserting Rex, the Lions defenders would be too busy laughing their ***es off to play effectively.

Number 3: Shanahan was shown this picture pregame and decided that bull most in touch with his feminine side was the correct one to ride down the stretch.

Number 2: The worst thing that could have happened was the equivalent of swinging and missing, right?  What was there to lose?

And the Number 1 reason Donovan McNabb was benched: Secretly failed the Albert Haynesworth conditioning test.

Five things in life I hate doing.

1.  Battling for a spot on a narrow highway.

2.  Facing the (chin) music at work.

3.  Riding an out of control wild beast that wants to stomp on you the first chance they get.

4.  Laughing at the bosses lame jokes, even if he is extremely rich.

5.  Having to allow customers to vent at work while just sitting there because you have to be nice to idiots who don't deserve to be treated that way.

Wouldn't it be more like telling your girlfiend she's too fat then dumping her for Kristie Alley?

Touche.  But maybe your girlfriend is bigger than Kristie and the move represents a downgrade.  I was trying to come up with the most extreme example possible.

5. Twenty minutes later, after years of no respect, Milton burned the place down, just like he said he would.
