How to play:

It's simple, really. Look at the sports-related pictures above, and give us your funniest caption for any or all of them. You can write as many captions for each as you would like.

The challenge runs daily, Monday-Thursday. Each day's competition will usually be posted by noon ET, and will usually end around 11 p.m. ET. On Monday and Wednesday, Community member ktopp24 will be the judge. On Tuesday and Thursday, I'll run the show. If one of the judges decide that your caption is the funniest or most clever submitted for that picture, it will be declared a winner.

Winning captions will be announced when that day's challenge ends. There will be one winner for each picture, and also one winner for the person who can string together the 5 best captions all with the same theme.

You will be awarded one point for each winning caption that you post. You will see a running tally on the scoreboard, which will be posted at the beginning and end of each day. At the end of each month a champion is declared, and we shower that user in praise and adulation! We add his screenname to the Wall-O-Fame, and then we start everyone's score back at zero.

#1 - BuccinGator

Ah, just in time for Christmas, Texas Motor Speedway holds "No Limits" night featuring the Go-Kart 100.  Pictured is this year's favorite and current GKRL points leader, Jimmie Kenneth Johnson Jr.

#2 - kmvenne

After posing for 10 minutes, the Habs player figured out that the Santa lady was just cycling through previously taken pictures of her cats and had no interest in taking a picture of him.

#3 - kmvenne

I used to have a very similar sign, except first P was an F, and I was in the parking lot of a strip club that I was too poor to pay the cover for, not a hockey game. Judging by my experiences, this kid is either going to end up empty handed or with herpes...

#4 - Mr. Mo-Chi

Just because Batman found a way to pull it off, doesn't mean it's a good idea for people to start making their own utility belts.

#5 - Mr. Mo-Chi

The London Journal of Medicine has documented its first case of a concussion caused by being struck with a spitball.

Theme - BuccinGator

Buc Offers A Sneak Peak At What He Got His Caption Challenge Friends For Christmas:

1) To his NASCAR loving friends River_Rat and D2Moo:  First to Rat, tickets to next year's Samsung Mobile 500.  And to D2Moo, this kid I found hanging around the ticket window who I figure could mow lawns for him.

2) To the champ kmvenne: Santa's helper.  Because he seems like the cat best suited to enjoy this particular present.

3) To Mo-Chi: This sign I stole from some young Bruins fan and reworded to feature the Lions logo and CAN I HAVE A WIN PLEASE?

4) To ktopp24: A promise of going one whole day without reference to lubricated mideastern grapplers or anal beads.

5) To MeatSupply: A picture of French soccer fans.  Because if ANYBODY knows about surrendering...

7) And finally, to Shuless Joe, our fearless leader:  Your own NFL Cheerleader Maid.

1.  The sign every person under 21 wants to see at their local bar.

2.  Santa's a Habs fan?  That's why they won all those championships.  Now it makes sense.

3.  Son, you could have one if your cheap ass father would purchase you one at the team store.  He'd rather spend that money on another beer though.  Just be glad your 18 year old sister didn't hold up the sign, although I bet someone would oblige her on that request.

4.  Glad to see Sammy Sosa found an occupation as a retail store owner after retiring from baseball.

5.  It was heartwarming to see the last three fans of the French National Soccer team attend one of their road games.  Cest le vie.

And my sincerest apologies to Warpy, Peabody, and anyone else I might run into at the Christmas Party.

2) Just off camera right were similarly hot Tammy and Heidi from Montreal Red Light District's popular Santa and his Ho-Ho-Hos, eh.

2) Ever since making 700 American Pie movies, Eugene Levy (a.k.a. Mr. Levinstein) can't go anywhere in Canada unless it's incognito.

3) Well, kid, you might have had a chance had your dad not taken you to a game at Madison Square Garden.

4) What I want to know is why Hakim is carrying a dagger.  Like anybody would be fool enough to shoplift beads from his store.

4) Here we see the Oregon, WI store where back in the back room they carry ktopp's supply of Turkish Oil Wrestling DVD's.

5) Is it just me, or does it look like the guy on the left just blew that hat out of his horn?

5) Fans of the SVFC (Smurf Village Football Club) can out-hooligan the rowdiest of soccer hooligans.

New concepts for the 2010 Holiday season

1) The World Series of Poker will challenge the NBA and the Christmas Story marathon for Christmas Day ratings as they hold their "No Limit, Texas Hold 'Em Tourney."

2) Record lines are expected at the malls, as men wait to have their picture taken with Mrs. Claus sitting on their laps. Must be 18 or older.

3) In Boston, front row tickets are being given away at Bruins games with each prescription of Ritalin.

4) XXX Industries use the Where's Waldo concept for a new photo book. In this picture, you must find the, ummmmm..... "#2" beads. On sale Friday.

5) The creator of How the Grinch Stole Christmas tells the story about the journey of 'Johnny Blue Who' making it home to Whoville for the holidays in "Who Gives A S**t."

1) Appearntly the trade off for no limits is a few extra chromosomes....

2) After posing for 10 minutes, the Habs player figured out that the Santa lady was just cycling through previously taken pictures of her cats and had no interest in taking a picture of him.

3) I used to have a very similar sign, except first P was an F, and I was in the parking lot of a strip club that I was too poor to pay the cover for, not a hockey game. Judging by my experiences, this kid is either going to end up empty handed or with herpes...

4) Habib, having somehow cornered the market on feng shui, can't wait to sell his chi-moving beads and trinkets to stupid yuppie whites at a profit margin that should be illegal.

5) I got no idea what's going on in this picture, but Rowdy Roddy Piper takes offense to how stereotypical that had Granny has on is to the Scottish, and that's saying something coming from him.
