How to play:

It's simple, really. Look at the sports-related pictures above, and give us your funniest caption for any or all of them. You can write as many captions for each as you would like.

The challenge runs daily, Monday-Thursday. Each day's competition will usually be posted by noon ET, and will usually end around 11 p.m. ET. On Monday and Wednesday, Community member ktopp24 will be the judge. On Tuesday and Thursday, I'll run the show. If one of the judges decide that your caption is the funniest or most clever submitted for that picture, it will be declared a winner.

Winning captions will be announced when that day's challenge ends. There will be one winner for each picture, and also one winner for the person who can string together the 5 best captions all with the same theme.

You will be awarded one point for each winning caption that you post. You will see a running tally on the scoreboard, which will be posted at the beginning and end of each day. At the end of each month a champion is declared, and we shower that user in praise and adulation! We add his screenname to the Wall-O-Fame, and then we start everyone's score back at zero.

If by junior counterparts you mean then you're misinformed. Todd Collins is has been in the league since leather helments so if doesn't understand the game by now he needs to pick a different sport. His skill is what has kept him off the field for so many years. And the camera was not fixated on Cutler for the hour and a half he spent on the bench. We might have seen a collection of maybe a minute of Cutler on the sideline. I remember four of those moments right off the top of my head. I remember seeing him on the bike. I remember seeing him sitting next when Collins was in. I remember seeing him next to Hanie while Hanie was looking at some defensive formations. And I remember seeing him smile and congratulate Hanie after they drove down the field and scored. And for those of you who complain and say he looked "disinterested on the sideline". I wouldn't say he was disinterested. He was upset. He couldn't play. His team was losing and he couldn't do anything about it. And he played a horrible first half. I would be upset. You would be upset. Manning, Brady, Brees, Rodgers, Roethlisberger, Rivers and every other player in the NFL would have been upset. And its not like the guy has missed many games this career and quit on many of games in his career. The guy his missed one start since the 2007 season. I personally have never cared much for Cutler but I don't question his toughness. He has been starting for the past 4 years and the coaches wouldn't have put him on the field if they didn't think he was tough enough to handle it. Whether you like it or not he's one of the leagues top 15 quarterbacks and the wouldn't have gotten the NFC championship game without him. The were better with him. And there is not a quarterback that is going to be a free agent or coming in the draft that can replace him.

My best cpations!

1) Bobo-Malu really shouldn't have made that terrible movie....

2) How feeting that the Bear is choking on some cheese (See, I even snuck a Jets joke in there! Daily double!)

3) (Guy on right): Go Beers!

4) (Announcer): Tom Collins's throwing motion is a bit tipsy...

5) Charles Woodhead sure has got a tan since being traded from New England to Green Bay....

1) Robo-Malu represents the height of Samoan technology, and judging by the copious amounts of aluminum foil and the old record player speaker, also includes some of Samoa's greatest national treasures.

2) Members of the Colbert Nation are beginning to wonder if Bears really are the "Godless killing machines" that Stephen Colbert claims they are after this Sunday.

3) Cutler may have a sprained/torn knee, but far more devastating are the injuries suffered by the belt on the fat guy on the right, who's career has to be over.

4) After trying to roll the ball down the length of his arm like a Harlem Globetrotter, and with his chinstrap strangely attached to the middle front of his facemask, there is no doubt that Todd Collins is riddled with the effects of early onset dementia, and still, at worst, Cutler's equal.

5) Charles Woodson, after a huge Packers win, always tells the story about how he punched out over 50 redcoats during the Revolutionary War during his middle adulthood.

What Do You Get When You Mix ...:

1) ... Robot from "Lost In Space" and the starting strong safety of the Pittsburgh Steelers?

2) ... alcohol and half a mascot uniform?

3) ... directly related human being's DNA together?

4) ... a bad QB and a worse QB as your number 1 and 2 QB's on your depth chart for the NFC Championship game?

5) ... the Heisman pose and Star Spangled Banner reverence?

1.  Unfortunately for Troy, the prolonged use of Head and Shoulders, especally the stuff imported from the Chernobyl Russia plant had some serious and unwanted side effects on him.

2.  The final outcome of the game yesterday turned out to be un"bear"able for this one Chicago fan.  He is safely in hibernation starting today.

3.  Packers' fans version of the Stinky Cheese Man.

3.  Bears fans don't know the difference between cheddar and bleu cheese.

4.  Look, we're getting pounded pretty good out there Todd and you're no spring chicken.  Toss an int, fake an injury, and let the rookie take his lumps.  He doesn't know any better and might just be able to pull this thing out.

5.  Emboldened by the win over the Bears, this Packer shows his pitching form and announces he's trying out with the Brewers as a reliever after the Super bowl is over.  He apparently wants 18 more cracks at a Chicago team over the Summer.

1) Unfortunately, little Timmy's science project only took 2nd place for a lack of waist lenght hair.

Unfortunately, my spell check was turned off.

5) Chuck auditions for Dancing With The Stars.  Afterall, if Emmitt Smith inherit the skills to has win this show [sic]...

Didn't want you all to think this blunder wasn't intentional given my other blunder.

1) Unfotunately, little Timmy's science project only took 2nd place for a lack of waist lenght hair.

2) Ironically, I think this Bears fan could throw better than Todd Collins even with those Bear claws.

3) Fake cheeses to keep the heads warm, check.  Gloves to keep the hands warm, check.  Lack of intelligence to keep the rest of the body from realizing just how freakin' freezing the chests and arms are, check.

4) Collins shows off his award winning form that got him pulled before the start of the 4th quarter.

5) Chuck auditions for Dancing With The Stars.  Afterall, if Emmitt Smith inherit the skills to has win this show...
