How to play:

It's simple, really. Look at the sports-related pictures above, and give us your funniest caption for any or all of them. You can write as many captions for each as you would like.

The challenge runs daily, Monday-Thursday. Each day's competition will usually be posted by noon ET, and will usually end around 11 p.m. ET. On Monday and Wednesday, Community member ktopp24 will be the judge. On Tuesday and Thursday, I'll run the show. If one of the judges decide that your caption is the funniest or most clever submitted for that picture, it will be declared a winner.

Winning captions will be announced when that day's challenge ends. There will be one winner for each picture, and also one winner for the person who can string together the 5 best captions all with the same theme.

You will be awarded one point for each winning caption that you post. You will see a running tally on the scoreboard, which will be posted at the beginning and end of each day. At the end of each month a champion is declared, and we shower that user in praise and adulation! We add his screenname to the Wall-O-Fame, and then we start everyone's score back at zero.

Well, I need to say congrats to all the players this month. We all continue to laugh at each other every day and I must say that sometimes, this contest is what gets me through the day. Because seriously, some days we just need a good laugh to wipe away the stress, even for just a minute. Anyways, enough brown nosing Joe. Let's all congratulate the man, the myth, the one and only.....sdnaples320 for tying for 10th place. He has been trying to get his head in the door for months and manages to squeeze out a point and finally get his name on the board. Congrats sdnaples320!!! Oh yeah, and that other guy who got 23 points, throw him a bone also.

#1 - River_Rat

OK fine Melinda, you proved your point.  The line outside of the Ladies room is really long.

JOE POINT

It was dicey, but Charlotte had made it out alive. You never can tell what might happen when you brave the porta-potty row at a Metallica concert.

#2 - Mister Peabody

With balls this big, your bound to have the occaisional human sized sperm.

#3 - BuccinGator

Princess Leia had finally learned to somewhat control her force powers and was used by the Johnnies to affect the Blue Devils coaching.  "This isn't the basket you're looking for.  The other team can go about their business."

#4 - D2Moo

Right in the middle of the play, in a most worthless exibition, Peyton became concerned about two important things.  One was he positive he had left the iron on in the hotel room.  The second was he couldn't remember if he put down the garage door when he left home for the game.

#5 - Mister Peabody

Evidently the cloning of Bart Starr and Booker T was partially successful.

Theme - BuccinGator

More Straight To DVD Sequels Best Ignored On Netflix:

1) This time, it's the women's turn to battle each other for respect and a deadly arsonist in "Backdraft 2."

2) Watch as the latest in green screen and motion capture technology is wasted on a film about a man nobody cares about anymore in "Bend It Like Beckham 2."

3) In the follow up to a UK film, "The Low Down," see family relationships of big time college coaches as they are really lived in 'The Stare Down."

4) Watch as the AFC fields a team of schlubs versus the gridiron hardened NFC squad that gets out to a 42-0 lead in "The Shortest Yard."

5) See WWEfilms answer to "The Wrestler," as they follow around Koko B Ware's struggles as a retired wrestler and Packers fan in "The REAL Wrestler."

1.  "Screw this! I'm going back to the Light as a Feather - Stiff as a Board trick!"

2.  With balls this big, your bound to have the occaisional human sized sperm.

3.  It's hard to play "See No Evil" when Evil sees you.

4.  "Wow, and I thought the Colts' defense was bad...."

5.  Evidently the cloning of Bart Starr and Booker T was partially successful.

1.  Carnage ensued at the mall when Kendra's husband answered Hell yes it does to the 'Does this wet suit make my butt look fat?" question.

2.  I bet George and Jerry would have treated this Bubble Girl much with far more interest and respect than they did the Bubble Boy.

3.  The coaches couldn't look when in front of God and everyone, Mike took off not only his warmup pants but everything else he had on from the waist down.  Tha gals on the other hand, couldn't keep from looking and being amazed.

4.  Right in the middle of the play, in a most worthless exibition, Peyton became concerned about two important things.  One was he positive he had left the iron on in the hotel room.  The second was he couldn't remember if he put down the garage door when he left home for the game.

5.  Packers' fans were so proud of their team that the phrase, "There's a new sherriff in town." even became part of their wardrobes.

By the way, congrats to theriverrock for taking down the January title
After a savage attack some 7 months ago by a particularly agressive school of rainbow trout, I never thought I'd caption a photo again.  Winning this coveted title is proof positive that hard work, a positive mental attitude, and heavy drinking can make anything possible.  I thank you, my wife thanks you, and my physical therapist Bunny thanks you!

Tonight...WE'RE ALL WINNERS!!
