I smell it, it's around the corner...

College Basketball Season is just around the corner. I am stoked, excited. My Tar Heels have some unfinished business after their dismal showing in the Final Four against Kansas last year. I have now gotten over the disappointment of their play, the lack of coaching in that last game, and have chalked it up to it being another team from the we don't want to play dimension.

Yesterday, Carolina hosted their first practice and media day. The guys looked great, had some fantastic comments for the media. As did Coach Williams, who stated he does not have any dreams of having an undefeated season this year.

I am very much looking forward to this season...

Then the news showed the nasty team in dark blue...and the rat king, and well...I guess they get coverage as well.

GO Heels!

I know dook. I still will cheer for them like I used to, just not when they play Tech.

They have a very good team this year, and could have a very special season.

Go Heels and Hokies!

Good luck to your Tar Heels.  Seems like they are in the thick of it every year, unlike my Vanderbilt Commodores that make the big dance every once in a while.  Congrats on your return to SuperStar Status.

I can not believe, you have all of a sudden dropped changed who your team is...

No way, absolutely not, I was born and raised a Carolina Fan, always will be. I have had torn moments when Appalachian played UNC, it was rather hard.

Okay, okay, I will give you the fact that you need to show some loyalty to your school, but if you have always been a Carolina fan why switch? There are plenty of people I know that go to dook or Carolina and are there merely for the education....and are fans of the rivals, it makes it even more fun!

There is still a place inside of me where I root for the Heels. I have cheered for them since I was about 5, but now that I am at VT, they are my #1 team. I will still cheer for UNC, until they play us. The Heels will certainly be in the mix for the national title. Watch out for March 4th though baby! We have a solid team.
