Brett Favre to return or to retire?

Hmm sounds like an age old Shakespeare question.

The Packers had a fantastic season. Brett Favre had an amazing season, breaking records left and right. Everyone has been speculating if he is going to be returning or retiring for next season.

What do you think?

Brett Favre to return or to retire?

Brett will probably play at least 2 more seasons.  The team is too good to hand the reigns over to Aaron Rogers at this point.

I think he might retire at nearly the same age Warren Moon did.

Brett Favre to return or to retire?

Q. Since Brett Favre took over as the starting QB in 1992, which teams have the best overall regular season record?

A. Since September 27, 1992, the date of Brett Favre's first start, Green Bay is 160-93 (.632), the best record for any team in the NFL over that period. Next-best is Pittsburgh, at 156-96-1 (.619) and then Denver, at 152-101 (.601).

Brett Favre to return or to retire?

rozypear,

I honestly don't know why you want him to retire just because of a bad performance . In case you haven't noticed, he had a fabulous year. If Brady wasn't so good, Favre would of been MVP. Plus, he led his team to the NFC championship so I betcha he has triple as more confidence they will make it that far next year as well.

Brett Favre to return or to retire?

I think that Farve should retire before he injures himself. Earlier in the season he hinted that he would stay for another season. I think that he won't quit until he hurts himself badly. Get Brett off the field!

Brett Favre to return or to retire?

I don't think he should retire because he had such a good year.  If he retires he might be retiring before he should, just like Tiki Barber.  Anyways, I hope Favre stays in the NFL, very fun to watch.

Brett Favre to return or to retire?

Retirement is a very personal thing.  For some people, it is family first.  For some, it's long term health.  For others, it may be about fame, glory, records or their legacy.  We all think we know Brett Favre becaue he has been a public figure for so long, but none of us really knows him.  He will let us know in his own good time what he will do.  In the meantime, we can all express our own personal desires for him.  I hope he comes back for another year.

Brett Favre to return or to retire?

In my opinion, Favre should walk away while he can.  It is true he had a great seaon, but how much longer can he keep producing?  I believe that he will always be able to find a job in the NFL, but so did Vinnie Testaverde.  Favre should walk now and not hang around until he tarnishes his accomplishments.

Brett Favre to return or to retire?

The thing I noticed was he didn't seem to be that interested toward the end of yesterdays game. Maybe it was the cold weather, maybe because he sees life differently now, I don't know. It seems  to me the Favre of the mid 90's had alot more fire in his eyes at playoff time. My guess is he will return though, he just isn't good enough anymore to take them all the way.
