Okay, I liked how the Final 4 Tourney Member Mayhem thing turnout, so after following that, I got an idea: what if we started one of these for the NBA playoffs? I think that would be very fun as well. I have taken it upon myself to start this up because I wasn't too sure about how much CBS cares about the NBA, so I didn't think they would start one. We are taken all 16 playoffs teams and finding posters who want in this. However, we changed up the rules a little bit:

Rules:

A) Only posters from playoff teams can make it in.

B) We will have 2 representatives for each team.

C) A poll will be put up along with the question asked, and each member must give an essay form answer to the question. Other members can vote in the poll to decide the winner.

D) We will have we 3 way voting:

1. Starters (1st representative) get to answer question No. 1

2. Reserves (2nd representative) get to answer question No. 2

3. Since we are having polls, we would have each 10% count for 1 vote. That we would add it up between both members of each team and who ever has the most votes wins. That way we there would be less of a chance of a tie. In case of a tie, I would ask a tiebreaker question.

Go ahead and come to the NBA boards to either nominate yourself, or nominate another poster you would like representing your team.

I am with crisper. If you are that passinate abotu your team an essay is nothing. I have been a Magic fan since day one and 100 words would not be enough to tell all the history I know.

What's wrong with essays?

If you know your team as well as you think you do, then writing a 100 word essay is simple. In the CBS member Mayhem, I got eliminated for writing my essays to long, they were good, but to long. It would only take me like 5 minutes because I knew so much about my team.

Here's a sample question.

Which player stepped up this season to help get your team where it is today?

Then explain.

Simple right?

Miami,

Go to the nomination thread and nominate yourself for a team that no one has been nominated for yet. They are the Wizards, 76ers, and Nuggets.

I"m good with the change.....should be lots of fun.

On a side note, a Spurs vs. Pistons Finals match would be lots of fun as well.

Made a change to the voting to solve an issue we had with it. (See D 3.)

I dont want to write an essay....that is bull$h!t..

and besides chances are these questions could be on history or answers will be enhanced by adding history, I haven't been an Orlando fan as long as Ive been an NBA fan...I just watched as a purist for a while...

Don't worry North, the questions will only have to do with the current season. They will be about your team this year and things that have had to with them getting into the playoffs.

I think everyone is taking this essay thing to literally. That's just what it's called because that's what they called it in the original Member Mayhem. It really is only a paragraph or two or a detailed answer to whatever question I give. I won't expect a 5 page essay, but just a good detailed answer. Length isn't too much of a concern as long as it's not just one sentence.

Im happy to write one paragraph...but an essay, and having to rely on someone else...Im not even sure if some teams will have two willing fans....

I was going to make a thread about this but I had no idea how we would judge it because I didn't think people would wanna write an essay...

What's wrong with the essay form answer? All that means is you have to give a detailed answer to the question I give. It's not like you are back in high school being graded on your penmanship, grammar, and paragraph structure.
