Do you love or hate the Chargers?

Posted on: January 15, 2008 2:32 pm

Each Tuesday I throw a thread out asking community members to share why they love or hate something. Now that we have blogs, we're getting all fancy schmancy here and ditching the threads.

With the Chargers breaking on through to the AFC title game, it's time for a little lovin' and hatin' San Diego style.

Take a second and share why you love or hate the Bolts and if you have time you can check out the Love/Hate videos here.

So how this works is...comment back on the blog with something like "I hate the Chargers because Philip Rivers doesn't know when to shut his yap." Or, "I love the Chargers because of three words: Billy Joe Tolliver. "

Just start your response with I love... or I hate....

That's all. So spread the love and hate. I look forward to reading your responses. And any suggestions for future Love/Hates are always appreciated.

Do you love or hate the Chargers?

I love the Chargers because I grew up in San Diego.  And it doesn't hurt that they have the RB in football, and one of the best pass rushers in Merriman, and just an overall good team.  Most everyone that hates them are from NE.  What a surprise.  What I find amusing is that they won and they should be focusing on talking trash to Giants fans about the upcoming game but they can't seem to take their energy away from the Chargers.  I don't see what they're so worked up about.  You won.  Get over it.  Get a life.  Move on.

Do you love or hate the Chargers?

No love, no hate, some respect, Phillp Rivers played ok, for being hurt, would have started Billy Volck, if I was the Coach, then if he played poor, pulled him out to go with Rivers, just a couple of years ago he he had back to back 400 yard games, with Tennessee Titans, But If I was the coach of the Chargers, and my Star Running Back, set on the beach, like a mad kid, i just sent him home, with no supper, he was hurt i get that, but he might have tryed to give alittle surport to the rest of the team, at least to Michael Tuner, but all i saw, was, a guy who will want to be traded next year.

Do you love or hate the Chargers?

i like the chargers i hate the charger fans!!!!!!!

i live in san diego and im not a charger fan but these fans are the worse. LT has earned a pass on the things he hasa done this year because of his accomplishments. one thing i didnt like was him sitting on the bench during the Pats game with his helmet on looking like Darth Vader and not helping the team. and helping the team i mean help coach or motivate his teamates basically making a contribution on winning that game i mean cmon its the afc championship game 1 win away from the SB and you are sitting on the bench not doing anything productive. To call him classless is a harse comment for LT but ill tell you one thing the only "Classless" is appear on that Oggies comercial with nappy a$$ hair.

As for Philip Rivers- i didnt like the kid with all the talking he does, basically he hasnt done anything in this league to warrent his behavior and i lost respect for him untill the Pats game when he showed me guts for playing with a torn acl but still doesnt excuse all the running of the mouth he has done. and dont bring up the whole Pro bowl thing please because he didnt deserve to be there Brady had better #'s and he was snubbed because Rivers was on a team that went 14-2. Brady had no body on his team ( and i am not a Patriots fan either but i give credit where credit is due) Rivers has LT=greatest RB in a long time, Gates= best TE in the league.

Do you love or hate the Chargers?

Wow I guess your team is sitting home watching. I can tell by the envy.  Who's your QB?....... Don't knock SD for speaking out how many years did they take it on the chin. I want to be entertained so I say let the trash talking get louder.

Do you love or hate the Chargers?

Quick! Show me three instances of L.T. "dissing" a team or it's players or coaches. You hate him because he's the best at his position, why don't you just admit it?

Do you love or hate the Chargers?

Show me the article, or whatever you're talking about, where the Chargers, as an organization, talk about themselves being "classy". If you want to hate the Chargers, fine. Just don't make up crap to hate them for. That's classless.

Do you love or hate the Chargers?

What a childish response soxfan28.

Try looking at things objectively. The Chargers, Colts and Patriots are the most successful teams over the last 3 years.

LT is the best running back in all of football, Merriman the best pass rusher.

They have every right to brag

Do you love or hate the Chargers?

See what I'm mean blog whisperer?

Have we seen any legitimate reasons why people hate the Chargers besides "Rivers talks too much ****" or "The Chargers are showboats"

ps Whatever happened to the "Belichick is the devil" stuff or how LT is the classiest player in the NFL?

Oh yeah, I forgot, the Chargers are the media's villain du joir.
