Do you love or hate Tom Brady?

Posted on: January 23, 2008 2:19 pm

We're a day late, but each Tuesday I throw a blog out there asking you all to tell CBS Sports why you love or hate something. We don't care for middle grounds in this blog. Middle grounds are for people much more sane than we are.

Since it's Super Bowl week, we're asking you to tell us why you love or hate Tom Brady. From his love life to his looks and even some non-superficial stuff like his ability on the field, we're itching to read what you dig or are digusted with regarding the three-time Super Bowl champ.

Take a second and share why you love or hate Tom Brady and if you have time you can check out previous Love/Hate videos here.

So how it works is ... comment back on the blog with something like "I love Tom Brady because he throws the best deep ball in the business" or "I hate Tom Brady because he sleeps with much, much, much, much hotter women than I do."

Just start your response with I love... or I hate....

That's all. So spread the love and hate. I look forward to reading your responses. And any suggestions for future Love/Hates are always appreciated.

Forum will be closed Friday.

Do you love or hate Tom Brady?

I have to admit that I was a big bledsoe fan and I questioned the move when belichick let him go in favor of Brady.  Boy was I wrong! which is why I have never questioned a belichick move since.  As far as Brady, I have not missed a Pats game in years and I listen to him every monday morning on weei.  I can't help but admire the way he plays and his passion for the game.  I have read some of the negative comments regarding his trash talking in games.  Whats great player doesn't trash talk during a game.  Larry Bird was one of the biggest trash talkers in the league but very few people ever saw him do it.

I have never heard Brady say a negative thing about another player or team before or after a game, ie Anthony Smith, the chargers, ravens or jets.  I found some of his comments interesting in regards to being asked why the Pats were so hated.  Brady responded, "I don't know, we never say anything bad about anyone and we play hard ever week."  Brady is a class act and he is as firery as any qb in the league and when it is all saaid and done his name will be mentioned in the same sentence as Montana.

Do you love or hate Tom Brady?

I love Tom Brady. I live in Massachusetts so my comments are understandable, but players like Brady do not come around very often. We here in massachusetts are very fortunate to have seen the likes of Brady and Larry Bird, Bobby Orr and Carl Yastremski and we know that they don't last forever so just have to sit back and enjoy the ride while you can. I am 53 years old and I have been a Pats fan for a long time and I have suffered through a lot of years where they have been the doormats of the NFL. thanks to players like Brady that has all changed

How do you hate that?    Jim robbins

Do you love or hate Tom Brady?

Love him because he's the consummate leader on the field as well as getting the hot women off the field...

the fact that I'm a Colts fan, Brady loves football, but I really don't see that "Brett Favre" energy in his eyes.

You got to love Brady. I disagree with fpacheco888 that Brady doesn't  have a passion for the game. You must have missed a few games over there in Indiana Buddy. He is a vocal, emotional leader on and off the field. His commitment to the game and his preparedness for each opponent is second to none. Its a shame you can't see him as he really is, because he will go down as the best (along with Manning) QB of his era.

Do you love or hate Tom Brady?

Gotta love him! Obviously the last supposed stud qb the patriots had (Drew Bledsoe) did not do anything for them, so it was great to have someone like Brady come in and take charge and lead them to (so far) 3 super bowls, and possibly one more for the ages!

I do agree, though, with the comment on wishing he hadn't become a celebrity off the field... but, that comes with stardom and great playing I guess!

Love him.  He does what you ask for out of a QB.  Those who bring up stuff such as "knocking up a girl and then dipping out", get your facts straight before putting your foot in your mouth.  Spreading false facts of the happenings of Brady's personal life....maybe it's time to look in the mirror and try to improve yours.

Do you love or hate Tom Brady?

I love Tom Brady because he is everything you can dream of being a QB. Playing for a great team, great coach, great WR, great o-line, everything is great! It's a pleasure to see him play at such a high level. Especially when you are down late in 4th quarter, Tom Brady = Clutch.

Do you love or hate Tom Brady?

I hate him because he's too good, he's too perfect.  And don't act like he doesn't run his mouth.  I've seen him do more than his fair share of talking out there (some of those Colts games come to mind).  And what's with knocking up a girl and then dipping out?  Nice example for the kids, Tom.
