Pac 10 Predictions: Week 10

Oregon at Cal: Last year's matchup was one of the best conference games of the year, with the Ducks coming a yard short of sending it to OT. Despite the hoopla over both team's quarterback situations, this one will be decided on the ground: Oregon routinely tops 300 rush yards a game, while the Bears hold opponents under 100. Revenge for the Ducks. Oregon, 34-30 .......... Washington State at Stanford: Much has been made of the Cougar's propensity to give up a lot of points. But in 7 games against FBS opponents, they've scored 63 points, or 9 points per. Stanford, 31-9 ........... Washington at USC: Coach Willingham's days are officially numbered. Maybe Pete Carroll will feel sorry for him and call off the hounds early? USC, 56-7 .......... Arizona State at Oregon State: What happened to the Sun Devils? A brutal schedule, that's what. Last 4 games were against UGA, USC, Cal and Oregon, and this one isn't any easier. Rest easy Dennis, you have UW and WSU next 2 weeks. OSU, 31-17.

Pac 10 Predictions: Week 10

Oregon-Cal

Cal is at home, where they do well, and Oregon still can't get a decent QB to back up their insanely good running game.  Cal's D is a bit better, so they win, plus their QBs are experienced.

Cal 31 Oregon 24

Stanford - Washington State

Is this really a prediction?  The only prediction here is if Stanford can beat the +30 spread.

Stanford 49 Wash ST 13

USC - Washington

Washington still has no quarterback, and now they have no coach.  Good luck.

USC 56 Washington 0

Oregon State - AZ State

Oregon State is going to go on a big winning streak to close the season as always.  Arizona State is free-falling.  When will it stop?  Next week.

tOSU 39 AZ State 17

Pac 10 Predictions: Week 10

Pac 10 Week 10 Hitting the Home Stretch

UO @ Cal - The Bears win last week was impressive as was the Ducks. This game will feature 2 pretty evenly matched teams but should be fun to watch. In the end I think that the homefield advantage will be the deciding factor. Bears win hotly contested game.

Cal 38 - Oregon 34

WSU @ Stanford - The Cougars finally decided to burn JT Levenseller's redshirt and he comes out on fire leading the Cougs to score in Double digits. Alas the Cardinals improved running game will prove to be too much for the Cougars.

Stanford 34 - WSU 20

UW @ USC - Another tough week for the Huskies. Since Pete Carroll and the Trojans have to score style points in every game and hope for other teams to lose in order to have a title shot, don't look for them to call off the Dogs. Trojans win in a  romp.

USC 62 - UW 7

ASU @ OSU - Mike Riley is the master game planner in the Pac 10 and he will have had 2 weeks to prepare for the beleaguered Sun Devils. It has been a rough stretch for Rudy Carpenter and Dennis Erickson and this weeks game while hotly contested won't be any better. Beavers will take it in a close one in Corvallis.

Oregon State 39 - Arizona State 31

Pac 10 Predictions: Week 10

Husky, Are you going to do something similar to this for the Pac-10 hoops season? Most if not all of the games are played on the same nights each week. Maybe if it even for just the weekend games.

Pac 10 Predictions: Week 10

Oregon @ Cal - Toughest pick of the week. These teams are fairly evenly matched. It is going to come down to who can stop the run. I think the bears have the edge in that  department. Cal 35-32

WSU @ Stanford - Could this be the second time the Cougars do not give up 60 to a Pac-10 team? I think so. Times are pretty desperate in the Palouse when that is what you look forward to. The Cougars will show some life offensively this time though. Stanford 42-20.

Washington @ USC - I was at the USC-WSU game. They took it easy on us, they easily could have hung 100 on us and that is no joke. After a tough game at Arizona they are going to fire on all cylinders. Heck the Irish almost shut out the Dawgs and the Trojan D is light years beyond them. USC 63-3

Arizona St. @ Oregon St. - This is the Beavers time of year. They always play better later in the season. Riley will have them ready, plus Az St. is still pretty beat up. Oregon St. 28-17

Pac 10 Predictions: Week 10

Oregon at Cal --- What a series this has become. I see another close game but Cal wins at home. Oregon 27 Cal 31

Washington State at Stanford --- The Cougs make it to double digits. WSU 13 Stanford 30

Washington at USC --- Maybe I am looking ahead a little, but this years Apple Cup (what a doozy). Washington 6 USC 57

Arizona State at Oregon State --- Looking for an ASU upset here. Arizona State 34 Oregon State 30

Pac 10 Predictions: Week 10

Oregon @ Cal: The Ore @ Cal game comes down to which D stands up. The Ducks played their best game of the season by far last week, particularly on the defensive side. The LB's did not just take up space, but were active, allowing the secondary to play more aggressively. The Ducks get the Bears out of their heads and win this one. Ducks 34-28.

Washington State @ Stanford: Stanford has been up and down all season, they can stay down this week and still be accused of running up the score. Cardinal 37-6

Washington @ USC: Pete Carroll is rarely concerned with PC, and after the low scoring, close win last week, will want to make a statement. Trojans 63-3

Arizona State @ Oregon State: Oregon State comes off the bye and catches Arizona State in a freefall.  Beavers 45-20
