Ok, here is the deal, every Friday I will post a new Blog in which we will choose the greatest player ever at a certain position. Untill the next position is posted CBS members may vote for who they think the greatest ever is, at the end of the voting I will calculate everyones votes and will add that player to The Greatest Team Ever. I hope lots of you participate because I think this could be fun. I will try to post a running tally in a comment every day.

1st Possition - C      Vote for the best center of all time!! Please post your vote in a comment, if you wish to give some insight on your choice feel free to do so. Please start your post with the players name, and please make sure that you are naming someone who played the position being voted for that week, as those are the only votes that will count..........So who is our Center?

Dermontti Dawson - Pittsburgh Steelers

After taking over for Mike Webster, he went to 7 straight Pro Bowls from '92-'99. Hamstring injuries and salary cap issues caused his release in 2000, but he was the best at his position all throughout the 90's.

No brainer for me: Dwight Stephenson  and a close second would be Jim Otto.

What's the total now?  Jim Otto all the way.  He lifted weights before Webster did.
