Ok, here is the deal, every Friday I will post a new Blog in which we will choose the greatest player ever at a certain position. Untill the next position is posted CBS members may vote for who they think the greatest ever is, at the end of the voting I will calculate everyones votes and will add that player to The Greatest Team Ever. I hope lots of you participate because I think this could be fun. I will try to post a running tally in a comment every day.

1st Possition - C      Vote for the best center of all time!! Please post your vote in a comment, if you wish to give some insight on your choice feel free to do so. Please start your post with the players name, and please make sure that you are naming someone who played the position being voted for that week, as those are the only votes that will count..........So who is our Center?

Jim Otto -  tough, durable, and an anchor on those old AFL-NFL Raider teams. I probably am dating myself but I remember when he played at the University of Miami - played defense (linebacker) and offensive center. His book, The Pain of Glory is a great read for any football fan.

Tony Gonzalez

#88

That is ALL that needs to be stated.  If you dont know everything he has done then your not a football fan.

He is the #1 TE in NFL History. (SOME will argue that shannon sharp is better)

 MIKE WEBSTER ...

This has got to be one of the easiest positions to vote for...!   As a long time Viking fan, I have NO love for the Steelers of his time....but come on...  17 Seasons, 245 games played (150 Straight), 4 Super Bowls, 9 pro-bowls.

LOL I think Friday we will do ST, but hey at least we will be able to vote for both of them. I just know that there are some people like I was untill I got this job with internet access that may only visit the message board once or twice a week. I want to make sure every member of this community has no excuse not to vote.

Absolutely.
Don't take it as anything other than a suggestion.  We're gonna get to some positions like QB that should probably take a month by itself.
Kinda like..."do you think Jerry Rice should be one of the Receivers?"  Duh.
My point was only to get to these more "interesting" positions quicker.
Again, though, I'm here for you and your ballgame, so forgive my supposing too much.
C'mon Friday for GUARD!!!
