Ok, here is the deal, every Friday I will post a new Blog in which we will choose the greatest player ever at a certain position. Untill the next position is posted CBS members may vote for who they think the greatest ever is, at the end of the voting I will calculate everyones votes and will add that player to The Greatest Team Ever. I hope lots of you participate because I think this could be fun. I will try to post a running tally in a comment every day.

1st Possition - C      Vote for the best center of all time!! Please post your vote in a comment, if you wish to give some insight on your choice feel free to do so. Please start your post with the players name, and please make sure that you are naming someone who played the position being voted for that week, as those are the only votes that will count..........So who is our Center?

Well I am certainly not trying to waste anyones time, but that really doesn't make a whole lot of sense because even if I did it like you are saying it would take the same amount of time to vote. It appears as though you are intrested in this and mabey waste your own time checking on it, thats not my fault. I already posted numerous places how this would be working I don't want to change it now and cause confusion. It only takes a few seconds a week to vote for that weeks position, I think what you mabey really mean is that your anxious to get it over with so you can see the completed team. I agree I feel that way somewhat myself but I have a long boring off season without football to look forward to and I personaly think that the way we are doing it will yield the most acurate results. I normaly use this whole site as a time waster so.........what am I doing here the answer is no, thanks for the suggestion.

Dwight Stephenson deserves consideration for sure.

Dan Koeppen?  Come on guys, very good player, not great.

Mike Webster is about the biggest no-brainer possible.  He was dominant at his position for close to 15 years.  He was able to pull like a guard from his center position.  He was the stalwart of a line that had a HOF RB, QB, and two WR's.  In 76', he helped TWO Rbs rush for a thousand yards, yes, two.  Mike Webster is the only choice everyone pales in comparison...Dan Koeppen, that was a funny one.

DKM... Just a suggestion; most people, myself included, have the attention span of a gnat.  We're looking at 22 positions plus the pathetic specialists... 6 months?  This is your ballgame (and I love the idea of duking it out over the skills of one guy over the other), but that's a seriously long time.  Just a suggestion (again), but maybe every 3 days or so to expedite the process.

When it comes to Center, though, you're just wasting our time.  Anyone who has ever seen the game knows it has to be Mike Webster.  I hate the Steelers and know that.

Bruce Matthews. Don't care which O-line position he gets, but he should definitely get one.

Mike Webster all the way!  Not only did he anchor all those Steeler lines he went on to anchor the KC line as well.  He paid the ultimate price for all those years with his life and deserves the recognition for being the best ever!
