Ok, here is the deal, every Friday I will post a new Blog in which we will choose the greatest player ever at a certain position. Untill the next position is posted CBS members may vote for who they think the greatest ever is, at the end of the voting I will calculate everyones votes and will add that player to The Greatest Team Ever. I hope lots of you participate because I think this could be fun. I will try to post a running tally in a comment every day.

1st Possition - C      Vote for the best center of all time!! Please post your vote in a comment, if you wish to give some insight on your choice feel free to do so. Please start your post with the players name, and please make sure that you are naming someone who played the position being voted for that week, as those are the only votes that will count..........So who is our Center?

My gosh do some of you know how to follow directions? Vote for the best CENTER...ONLY!!!!

Since we get 1 vote, I go with Dermontti Dawson.

Followed closely behind Dawson, I would go with Dwight Stephenson, Mark Stepnoski, and Courtney Hall.

Bruce Mathews (Hou/Ten)

14 Pro bowls; most games played by an O-lineman

He will probably won't get any votes as he played multiple positions (C, G, and T).  (If that doesnt speak volumes about his ability!)

Rest of the the Top 5.

Dwight Stephenson (MIA), Mike Webster (PIT), and Jim Otto (OAK), Jim Ringo (GB),

Honorable Mention :

Mick Tinglehoff (MIN) 7 Pro Bowls

I would have to agree with Farmdawgs, Randy Cross was a big part in protecting Joe Montana and Roger Craig, plus he was a class act, so  I will go with him on this one.

Randy Cross-

He helped Rodger Craig get 1000+ rushing, 1000+ recieving yards in one year.  No one elese can say that.
