The Greatest Of All Time Team Needs A Fullback

Ok, here is the deal, every Friday I will post a new Blog in which we will choose the greatest player ever at a certain position. Until the next position is posted CBS members may vote for who they think the greatest ever is, at the end of the voting I will calculate every ones votes and will add that player to The Greatest Team Ever. I hope lots of you participate because I think this could be fun. I will try to post a running tally in a comment every day.

The Greatest Of All Time Team Needs A Fullback

Do any of us truly think Jim Brown (favorite sport at Syracuse = lacrosse) was a fullback....NO. Am I going to dispute the Pro Football Hall of Fame about it... NO. So, yes, put me down for Jim Brown.

Mike Alstott recently would be a good pick, too, though. He's a tweener, but went to the Pro Bowl a gazillion times as a FB.

I didn't check the Hall of Fame for a list of all-time greats, and like you think it is hard to believe Jim Brown was a fullback. I know he was a big guy and like you will give him the nod.

Another choice just for what he did for his running back when he played would be Daryl "Moose" Johnston. I don't believe he is a HOF, but he did make some big holes for Emmit Smith to run through.

But if the HOF has Jim Brown as a fullback, I'll definitely say he is the greatest of all-time.

I hate 'no contest' so i will go with Bronko Nagurski. I have always loved his name and didn't they name an award after him? Also, does anyone know why the list has him playing 1930-37 and 1943? Did he make a comeback during WWII? As for Jim Brown - he was a great runner but a lousy actor.
