The Greatest Of All Time Team Needs A Tight End

Posted on: May 2, 2008 10:09 am

Ok, here is the deal, every Friday I will post a new Blog in which we will choose the greatest player ever at a certain position. Until the next position is posted CBS members may vote for who they think the greatest ever is, at the end of the voting I will calculate every ones votes and will add that player to The Greatest Team Ever. I hope lots of you participate because I think this could be fun. I will try to post a running tally in a comment every day.

16th Position- Tight End     Vote for the best Tight End of all time!! Please post your vote in a comment, if you wish to give some insight on your choice feel free to do so. Please start your post with the players name, and please make sure that you are naming someone who played the position being voted on for that week, as those are the only votes that will count..........So who is our Tight End?

Please remember to rate this blog entry, and all comments as I appear to be losing value points for doing this blog, I happen to believe a lot of you enjoy it however, so I will continue even though I may be a rookie by the time it is over!

The Greatest Of All Time Team Needs A Tight End

I have to go with my two personal favorites, Mark Bavaro of the Giants and Bennie Cunningham of the Steelers. I feel both guys were great all around tight ends, Bavaro used to tell opposing DE'show easy they were to block.... Cunningham was there through the Superbowl yrs.

Kellen Winslow definitely the best.  He could take over the game by himself.  He created a mismatch on every play.  Mackey is my honorable mention .   If he would have played at a different time he would have had more productivity.

Sharpe was supposed to be the biggest font, oh well he wins the closest race we have had to date. Sorry I haven't been as active lately but I am completley addicted to Goal Line Blitz, you all should really try it : http://goallineblitz.com/game/signu

There were a lot of great TEs in the history of the NFL, and Tony Gonzalez set the standard for TEs so much higher. He's definitely my pick.
