The Greatest Of All Time Team Needs A RB

Posted on: May 16, 2008 12:37 pm

Ok, here is the deal, every Friday I will post a new Blog in which we will choose the greatest player ever at a certain position. Until the next position is posted CBS members may vote for who they think the greatest ever is, at the end of the voting I will calculate every ones votes and will add that player to The Greatest Team Ever. I hope lots of you participate because I think this could be fun. I will try to post a running tally in a comment every day.

18th Position- Running Back    Vote for the best Running Back of all time!! Please post your vote in a comment, if you wish to give some insight on your choice feel free to do so. Please start your post with the players name, and please make sure that you are naming someone who played the position being voted on for that week, as those are the only votes that will count..........So who is our Running Back?

Please remember to rate this blog entry, and all comments as I appear to be losing value points for doing this blog, I happen to believe a lot of you enjoy it however, so I will continue even though I may be a rookie by the time it is over!

Walter Payton.  Now  Barry Sanders was the best pure runner ever, and Jim Brown was the best power runner ever.  But Payton had it all speed, power, hands, and quick feet.  He was the whole package.  Hands down sweetness is the best back of all time.

The Greatest Of All Time Team Needs A RB

"Can anyone not a Lion's fan name their starting qb during Barry's career without looking it up?"

How 'bout...can anyone not a Bears fan recall the greatness of their QBs not named McMahon (no fair if you use Vince Evans, I mentioned him earlier)?

How 'bout...can anyone not a Bears fan recall all the amazing offensive talent Walter Payton had around him in Chicago during his career?

How 'bout...can anyone name a player Barry Sanders DIDN'T whiff-block in the backfield?

Nice back, but someone needs to go back and see Sweetness at his sweetest.  The words COMPLETE and BACK come to mind when discussing Walter.

Can anyone not a Lion's fan name their starting qb during Barry's career without looking it up?I am not a Lions fan and I can. Scott Mitchel was their QB also Erik Kramer. Mitchel had a 4000 yard season . Lets not forget Herman Moore who was a great WR.
