The Greatest Of All Time Team Needs A RB

Posted on: May 16, 2008 12:37 pm

Ok, here is the deal, every Friday I will post a new Blog in which we will choose the greatest player ever at a certain position. Until the next position is posted CBS members may vote for who they think the greatest ever is, at the end of the voting I will calculate every ones votes and will add that player to The Greatest Team Ever. I hope lots of you participate because I think this could be fun. I will try to post a running tally in a comment every day.

18th Position- Running Back    Vote for the best Running Back of all time!! Please post your vote in a comment, if you wish to give some insight on your choice feel free to do so. Please start your post with the players name, and please make sure that you are naming someone who played the position being voted on for that week, as those are the only votes that will count..........So who is our Running Back?

Please remember to rate this blog entry, and all comments as I appear to be losing value points for doing this blog, I happen to believe a lot of you enjoy it however, so I will continue even though I may be a rookie by the time it is over!

The Greatest Of All Time Team Needs A RB

Walter Payton or Barry Sanders, I can't decide. Jim Brown was a beast, though.

Walter Payton hands down!! He played for over a decade at a time when FB was Ruff & Tuff, he was one MAN against

all the other Men.

(THE ULTIMATE STIFF ARM ).

He really never had a good OL. He was pure FB player. He could run ,block and catch + a TEAM player! Unequalled!! His Greatness

A STUD who never wanted to come out of a game because he kept himself in Peak condition!!!

I say Eric Dickerson.  He took a doormat like the Rams and made them a contender, then he went to Indianapolis and they went from worst to first overnight.  In both cases, he did it without a passing game.  In 9 years, his team never had a 1,000 yards receiver.  Barry's Lions had 9 1,000-yard receiving seasons in his 10 years.

For starters I will say Walter Payton. He is the best this league has ever seen.

Then Emmit Smith, then Barry Sanders.

I pick Emmit because of his inside running abilities. This guy was a hard runner, and never gave less than his best.

Then at 4th I am going to say L.T.

This is a Blog to name the greatest sports team...not to pimp your site. We have kids who get on here as well and we don't need you opening up betting sites to users. Here's a "1".
