The Greatest Of All Time Team Needs A QB

Posted on: May 23, 2008 11:41 am

Ok, here is the deal, every Friday I will post a new Blog in which we will choose the greatest player ever at a certain position. Until the next position is posted CBS members may vote for who they think the greatest ever is, at the end of the voting I will calculate every ones votes and will add that player to The Greatest Team Ever. I hope lots of you participate because I think this could be fun. I will try to post a running tally in a comment every day.

19th Position- Quarter Back    Vote for the best Quarter Back of all time!! Please post your vote in a comment, if you wish to give some insight on your choice feel free to do so. Please start your post with the players name, and please make sure that you are naming someone who played the position being voted on for that week, as those are the only votes that will count..........So who is our Quarter Back?

Please remember to rate this blog entry, and all comments as I appear to be losing value points for doing this blog, I happen to believe a lot of you enjoy it however, so I will continue even though I may be a rookie by the time it is over!

The Greatest Of All Time Team Needs A QB

I say Brett Favre..or Johnny U..

Brett because no one ever played the game like he did..He had fun and went for it..In the cold of Lambeau field..

It isn't all about the stats..

With this lineup..almost any QB could lead them..Johnny U because he was years ahead of his time..a Great QB

I'll take Brett as my final answer

The Greatest Of All Time Team Needs A QB

I give props to my favorite QB's...the San Fran duo of Joe Montana and Steve Young.  But if I have to judge based on overall ability (it pains me to say this), I have to give it to Dan Marino.  Few QB's have been as dominant as he was without a running game to back him up.  I'd give it to him or Bret Favre...the chances he took/plays he made were really fun to watch.

The Greatest Of All Time Team Needs A QB

Staubach, Tarkenton, Elway, and Marino round out my top five.  The Greatest all-time qb is Montana.  He didn't always have overwhelming talent helping him on offence.  Who were the other receivers with Dwight Clark, does any remember?  Not the greatest arm strength, but the smartest qb to evr play.

John Elway - Most of his accomlishments that put him on top have already been mentioned.  The thing that puts him ahead of Montana, though, was the way he went out.  Back to back Super Bowl wins and the Super Bowl MVP.  Montana stayed in too long, with too many injuries.

Tom Brady. He won games with absolutley no recievers. He threw 50 touchdowns with recievers. In year #2 of having recievers im expecting 30+tds and 4000+ yards. I havent ever heard of half the people on that guys top 25. Call me bias but when his carrer is over  u will agree with me. Im just giving him his props while hes in his prime.

Dan Marino, Put him on Montana's 49er's or Aikman's cowboys and he would have won 5 super bowls or more. Look what he did with no defense no tailback and limited help most of his career.
