- Andre Miller, Philadelphia 76ers (unrestricted) - A crafy player who's rock-solid in every category with the exception of one glaring weakness - He's not a good outside shooter.
- Mike Bibby, Atlanta Hawks (unrestricted) - Not the purest of point guards, but he's still quick and a good shooter. He'd fit well with the LeBron Jameses and the Dwyane Wades of the world. The Hawks have said that they will let him walk if he demands too much money.
- Nate Robinson, New York Knicks (restricted) - Not a true point, but he can score points in bunches and is the perfect fit in coach Mike D'Antoni's offense. I don't see how the Knicks could let him walk for nothing, but then again, they seem committed to the 2010 market.
- Allen Iverson, Detroit Pistons (unrestricted) - Claims that he'd rather retire than come off the bench. Add in the fact that he's 34, is he worth the risk?
- Jason Kidd, Dallas Mavericks (unrestricted) - The good news: He's shooting the three better now than he has during his entire career. The bad news: Everything else in his game is on the decline. He still can provide leadership for any given team, but at 36, he's no longer an elite point guard.
- Raymond Felton, Charlotte Bobcats (restricted) - An athletic point guard who's very turnover-prone. He played both guard spots this season for the Bobcats with D.J. Augustin aboard. I could see the economy getting the best of him this summer, therefore, I could see him accepting the one-year qualifying offer (like Ben Gordon did last year).
- Jarrett Jack, Indiana Pacers (restricted) - A versatile player who can start or come off the bench and can play both guard spots. He's also very good defensively. Hard to see him anywhere else besides Indiana next season.
- Ramon Sessions, Milwaukee Bucks (restricted) - Has a lot of talent but was very off-and-on this season, and due to his sub-par defense, he isn't an ideal fit on a Scott Skiles team. Rumor has it that the Bucks have talked about the possibility of letting him walk and drafting Jonny Flynn to replace him.
- Eddie House, Boston Celtics (unrestricted) - Very one-dimensoinal, but always manages to find ways to put points on the board.
- Shannon Brown, Los Angeles Lakers (unrestricted) - This combo-guard finally showed some promise after the Lakers aquired him mid-season in exchange for Vladamir Radmonovic. Likely staying put.
Other Notables:
- C.J. Watson, Golden State Warriors (unrestricted) - Had his moments this season, but was it just a product of coach Don Nelson's system?
- Bobby Jackson, Sacramento Kings (unrestriced) - Put up decent numbers in limted minutes this year (7.5 points on just under 40% FG shooting), but he is 36 and you have to wonder how much he has left.
- Ronnie Price, Utah Jazz (unrestricted) - He has some skills and has had his moments the past couple years as Deron Williams' backup. Since he's a Utah product, I could see him staying with the Jazz.
- Jacque Vaughn, San Antonio Spurs (unrestricted) - He didn't get much playing time this season due to the George Hill experiment in San Antonio, but he's still a good defensive point guard who could be useful for depth.
