IF THE TERRIBLE TWO'S DON"T KILL ME..............

Posted on: March 3, 2008 1:13 pm

HELP.................My house, my mind , and my life have been taken over by the terrible 2's.  Where did my sweet angelic little girl go?  Over the last several days she has been replaced by a she devil that has the most piercing scream you have ever heard.  She is willful and stubborn.  She makes taking her anywhere absolute torture.  She won't sit on the potty and throws a fit at absolutely nothing.  In short she is 2 and every bit of it.

If both of us make it through this stage it will be a miracle.

IF THE TERRIBLE TWO'S DON'T KILL ME..............

I know I will survive.  I do thank God many times daily for bringing her and LD into my life.  I am truly blessed.

IF THE TERRIBLE TWO'S DON'T KILL ME..............

Sounds like the very pretty little girl is quite normal......and smart as she has begun the first stage of realizing she is her own person......just wait until she has her driver's license - that is real stress - and when she begins dating - that is super strength stress......all and all you will survive each and wonder how you did!  And given the choice would relive it all again!

IF THE TERRIBLE TWO'S DON'T KILL ME..............

Then I took her to my Mom's for lunch and we were greated with "How's my little angel?"  And you know what?  She didn't act up one bit while we were at my parents house.

Of course not, they never act up for grandparents, grandparents spoil them...lol.

IF THE TERRIBLE TWO'S DON'T KILL ME..............

3 mornings a week she goes to "Toddler School" at one of our local Montessori schools and today when I picked her up they told me she was a little crabby for them. HAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHA.

Then I took her to my Mom's for lunch and we were greated with "How's my little angel?"  And you know what?  She didn't act up one bit while we were at my parents house.

IF THE TERRIBLE TWO'S DON'T KILL ME..............

What cracks me up is my Mom says I give small fry too many sweet treats, however each visit she is armed with sweets. Each holiday a package arrives with sweets that is more than the two of us can stuff in our faces.

Now, I need to pull him away from the tv, he has opted to not get dressed this morning and finish watching Aladdin for the fourth time in so many days, he needs to get his tiny hiney to day care, so he can have breakfast, Momma wants to take a shower in peace...

IF THE TERRIBLE TWO'S DON'T KILL ME..............

Every age has its own challenges.  Soon, we will face the challenge of letting go as our oldest goes off to college in the fall.  Our daughter will get her drivers licence in the next couple of months.

My two cents, enjoy it while it lasts.

"turn out the light and get some sleep"

"NO!"

"I said turn out the light, it's a school night"

"but Mom"

"Now young lady"

"I hate you!!!"

Plus I'll never believe that little angel loving up the puppy is anything but a shining bundle of sweetness!

(the dog does look kinda worried, though...)
