Princesses on Ice

No, I'm not talking about Ohio State's hockey team although I can understand if you thought I was...

I, LM, and L-dawg are off to Nationwide Arena tonight to see Disney's Princesses On Ice. Lauren is a lot more excited about it than I am. At least we have Club level seats, so it won't be too far to get a beer where I'm sure I'll meet lots of the other dads who are at this show. I hope they have beer. Please let there be beer.

It was either this show or Elmo Live! I opted for what I'm hoping will cause the least amount of homicidal and/or suicidal ideation. What I won't do for love.

Princesses on Ice

No beer ... DAMMIT!!!!

It wasn't terrible at all, mostly because L-dawg was obviously having a great time and that's why we went. They did usual figure skating routines, solo and pairs stuff. They also did most of the decent music from seven of the Disney movies: Aladdin, Sleeping Beauty, Snow White, Beauty and the Beast, Mulan, the mermaid one, and Cinderella. Indoor pyrotechnics were so-so, certainly no setting the ice on fire.

Did I mention NO BEER??

Based on the level of skating I saw, most of the hockey Buckeyes would work well as 3rd Alternate Ensemble.

Added bonus: the White Death came during the show, so rather than the normal 45 minutes back home it took 2 hours. Plus, it's trash night so I get to schlep full trash cans down the driveway to the curb in this slop. Forget the beer now, I'm breaking out the Macallan 18 or the Johnnie Walker Blue. Gotta work tomorrow or I would now be killing a bottle of nice Pinot Noir.

It's 11:30pm, and Michigan still sucks. Later, all.

Princesses on Ice

I didn't go but I know several dads who did- amazing enough they liked the show.  I heard about some good stunts and one involving setting the ice on fire.  I want an honest report when you get back!

Princesses on Ice

They came through Tulsa recently and we did not make it.  Since we watch, read, dress and do everthing related to the Princesses right now we opted to avoid the show.  I am sure that we missed a great night of entertainment.  Something tells me that beer is not going to be for sale, but I live in the Bible Belt so maybe I am just jaded.  Say hello to Aurora (Sleeping Beauty) for me.
