2007 Steelers Year in Review

2007 was a disapointment. The Steelers started off well but the season ended up a disapointment. We cannot beat the Jaguars at home or beat bad teams on the road. Ben Roethlisberger put up decent numbers but failed to show up when we needed him most. He cant get rid of the ball fast enough to be a successful QB. I am starting to believe we need to look for another option at QB. Tomlin did a decent job for a first year coach but it wasn't really his team. It will take a few years to tell if he was a good choice. I don't mean to sound pessemistic but the fact is that the Steelers did not finish strong and have some major questions that need to be answered in coming months. It's going to be a long offseason.

2007 Steelers Year in Review

Right on Bernie. I expect the Steelers to draft a QB in the middle rounds and hope he is ready to take over in a year or two after the Steelers rebuild. Let Ben Roethlisberger take the beatings until the new guy is ready to play.

2007 Steelers Year in Review

The Steelers will never be a serious contender with Ben Roethlisberger at the helm. He just doesn't have the skills to run a`real NFL offense. He can run the Steelers simplified system but that's not going to take them far. Three yard passes can boost a QB rating but they aren't going to win games consistantly.
