Chad Johnson (Ocho Cinco) to Miami?

How can we possibly bring CJ to Miami? What key players or draft picks do we need to place to make a possible trade for Chad? Can we actually expect him to be here? Is he a Tuna type of player? All opinions are welcomed

Chad Johnson (Ocho Cinco) to Miami?

No thanx! Hope he stay with the Bungles! Miami is to classy of an organization for a big mouth like Chad Johnson. Don't get me wrong he is a great receiver! He just can't enjoy the game without running his big mouth. Then again the Big Tuna did shut Terrel Owens Up!!!

Chad Johnson (Ocho Cinco) to Miami?

As much as I love the TE's, I was one for 13 years, the thing that helped most of those QB's out the most was an improved Oline.  Winslow and Gates are great TE's but the Olines on those teams were so good the QB had time to find them.  Once we get our Oline revamped and the running game takes over, players like Camarillo in the slot and our TE's whomever they may be will get serious in production, imo. Players like Chad Johnson and Randy Moss are luxuries.  We cannot have the luxuries until we have improved our basics first.

I am going to have to agree as well. With our QB situation i don't think we need those types of players, the Johnson's and the Randy Moss'.

What i see that has most helped out teams with mediocre or rookie quarterbacks was the Tight End.

Look at Derek Anderson with Kellen Winslow in Clevland, Philip Rivers with Antonio Gates in San Diego, Brodie Croyle and Tony G, Romo and Witten. Im sure there is a few more that have benefited from a good TE as well. I think we need a good catching TE first then work our way out to WR when Beck (or Ryan) get some more confidence.

I don't think an expensive Crumpler is the answer either.

Is there a good TE in the draft that we could get?

Chad Johnson (Ocho Cinco) to Miami?

As much as I like Chad Johnson, I tend to agree with momluvsfootball. She makes good points citing the burns Miami has taken with players such as David Boston (man, that was depressing -- he looked like he'd be a great fit). You don't want top-end receivers "dying on the vine" while you figure out the QB situation.

Personally, I like to see emphasis on the O-Line and D-Line as starting points in a rebuild....even before the QB. Can't have a potentially great QB getting his ass kicked while the team figures out its O-Line. Then build the skill positions...

Actually I think that Chad Johnson would be a nice fit to the Dolphins.

One of the things that screwed the Dolphins in the past was the increasing willingness to give away draft picks for high priced players that turned out not to do a thing for them (i.e., David Boston).  If nothing else, Parcells is smart and won't give away the team for a player, even Chad Johnson.

Besides, I don't think that CJ on Miami right now would be a good idea.  Bring in a WR who is more interested in helping get that team rebuilt then with the, "what have you done for me lately" mentality.
