UNC- Georgia Tech

It's 15 minutes till tip off and we are ready to put the Jackets in their place in Atlanta.  Dook is struggling with Fla State, only up by 4 with seven minutes to go.  I hope the Heels come in running like they did against NC State and easily go to 18 - 0 in the next couple of hours.

Go Tar Heels !!!

The Heels got a serious wake up call. Heels are the best team in the country but not the best defensive team and defensive wins championships.

THANK GOD!!!! All I can say is GT showed the nation how to expose UNC... This could be good or bad... coach can recognize it and fix it or other teams will come after it... They hit it on the nose last night... They have enough to be cutting the nets down in San Antonio... But their depth will be key come the tournament..

Did anyone notice that the coach or GT looks a lot like Morris Day from the time?

WOW..Im still glad we got the W, but that was too close!

Its nice to see the team pull together in a close and heated game though.  I think we can look at some positives, even though this brought out a lot of our flaws.

Hats off to GT D, they played really well.  They killed us on the boards, it came out around even, but they were leading us most the game.  I think this is the first game that a team has totally maned up against us in a physical game.  We didnt get the flow in our favor for long periods of time.

I thought we should have been putting more on the ball pressure on the PG, whichever was playing at the time, because both arent much of ball handelers.

It was a rough game for Ellington tell the last few minutes.  They shut him down most the game though.

I dont know if it was just me, but Lawson didnt seem to be totally in this game.  There were many times I thought he could have been putting more effort on D, and I think when Ellington wasnt getting hot he needed to be cutting to the basket more, with and without the ball (when TH got it in the post)

TH had troubles tonight with the double team. I think he needs to know its coming in look right away, but also his teammates need to help him out. It seemed the only one to move when he was doubled would be the passer, giving GT an easy cover when TH needed to kick it.

Ginyard played very well though. I think without Ginyard this would have been a lost game.  He was getting in passing lanes and just plan D-ing up. Because of his D he rewarded himself on the offensive side.

Im just glad that one is over and it came out as a W. 18-0 but still a lot to improve.

Go Heels

Yes this was a wake up call and we are going to learn that the target on our back just got bigger and easier to hit by opposing teams.  It's late and I will make some comments tomorrow.  18 - 0 sounds good right now.

Go Tar Heels !!!

It is clearly evident we have a lot of work to do on defending the three.  If not, all good 3 point teams will be throwing them at us like quarters at a county fair.  Go Tar Heels

Amen brother. A UNC victory, coupled with a Dook loss is a great thing. Seems to be happening more and more these days!
