Are there any 1-6 batters that a pitcher would hate to see more than:

  1. Jimmy Rollins
  2. Shane Victorino
  3. Chase Utley
  4. Ryan Howard
  5. Raul Ibanez
  6. Jayson Werth
All five of those guys can get on base, 3-6 are home run machines. The bats will be there, it's up to the pitching staff to pitch well and put is contention for a second World Series title in two years.

To think that some people were disappointed that Burrell left and Ibanez replaced him is now pretty funny. Check that, extremely funny. Ibanez has cruised this season, and has definitely played like a top 5 player this MLB season. Tonight against the Marlins, Ibanez popped two more home runs, and Howard also sent one out.

Here's to a great second half for the Phillies.

With the way J-Roll is playing as of late, he is NOT better than Scott Podsednik.

Shane Victorino is not even close to Alexei Ramirez.

I'd say Quentin/Utley is a push. They're both outstanding players.

Dye doesn't strike out nearly as much as Howard. His power numbers are comperable, so I'd give it to Dye.

Ibanez is much better than Thome, and Konerko/Werth is a push.

The Phillies hit more home runs than the White Sox, so they get more coverage. Honestly, I'd say the two lineups are similar in talent.

Read that. It's about how the CBS writing staff is blaming us about this whole situation instead of taking responsibility for spreading news about the video existing.

Sorry Harst to use your blog as a bill-board.

Phillies Bats 1-6

1. Scott Podsednik < Jimmy Rollins
2. Alexei Ramirez < Shane Victorino
3. Carlos Quentin < Chase Utley
4. Jermaine Dye < Ryan Howard
5. Jim Thome < Raul Ibanez
6. Paul Konerko < Jayson Werth

Just my opinion, only one you could even make an argument for is Konerko over Werth...

The only team that may rival that 1-6 would be the Chicago White Sox when healthy.

1. Scott Podsednik
2. Alexei Ramirez
3. Carlos Quentin
4. Jermaine Dye
5. Jim Thome
6. Paul Konerko

2-6 has tremendous power - moreso than the Phillies IMO

Phillies Bats 1-6

I think the Twins 1-6 is pretty underrated, to be honest. Mauer and Morneau are deadly all the time, and Span, Kubel, and Cuddyer are great guys to fill in that lineup.

Man, I did not realize how old they are! Ryan Howard will be 30 this, so after that happens only Victorino will be in his 20's.  The rest will be old men. They are just one bad day with out the Metamussil from an old man disaster!
