(A Few) College Football 2009-2010 Predictions

Champions: Florida Gators

Why not? They have the best player in the league in Tim Tebow, a strong defense led by guys Brandon Spikes and Carlos Dunlap, and a head coach who knows how to win in Urban Meyer. Defending champs as well.

Runner Up: Texas Longhorns

Colt McCoy will be able to rally his troops to a Big 12 Title and a spot in the championship game, but I see Florida as a better team. Texas will have a strong year though, which should include a win over the Oklahoma Sooners.

Heisman: Jahvid Best

Everyone is picking Florida and Texas to meet in the championship game, so I wanted to go out on a limb for my Heisman pick. I'm going with California running back Jahvid Best, who's combination of speed and agility make him a yardage machine. He'll rack up impressive numbers that I think will top the Big Three quarterbacks.

Heisman Voting Results:

1. Jahvid Best, RB
2. Tim Tebow, QB
3. Colt McCoy, QB

(A Few) College Football 2009-2010 Predictions

Well he clearly proved the other night hes one of, if not the best CFB player in America. Like I said though, this year has been hyped as the return of Tebow/McCoy/Bradford. With Bradford going down he's already out of the race seeing as how he going to miss at least 3 more games. If Florida or Texas are unbeaten going into the Heisman ceremony and they have respectable seasons at all I think they'll take it, even if not deservedly so.

(A Few) College Football 2009-2010 Predictions

It definitely does seem that quarterbacks are the top dogs and frontrunners for the Heisman, but I think with a few great performances from Best (who's pretty consistent) he can get enough attention and possibly win it.

He just has to post great numbers and then it's out of his control. We'll see what happens, but I'm expecting a lot from this electrifying kid.

(A Few) College Football 2009-2010 Predictions

Between people feeling bad for McCoy slightly missing the NC and coming up just short of a Heisman, and the high probability that Florida will be unbeaten when the Heisman is announced, I think Best has to much to overcome. If Tebow and Florida are ubeaten again and have a shot for 3 titles in 4 years and he has a decent season at all he's got a great shot. If Texas is unbeaten and McCoy plays well again, he'll have a good chance. Don't see Best topping both.
