5. Ivan Rodriguez

1st Baseman

1. Albert Pujols (injuries, what injuries?)
2. Lance Berkman (this guy can hit the ball... far)
3. Derrek Lee (this guy is also a HR machine)
4. Mark Teixeira (one of the many solid first basemen in the NL)

2nd Baseman

1. Chase Utley (best second baseman by far, underrated defensively)
2. Brandon Phillips (good all around game)
3. Dan Uggla
4. Ian Kinsler (extremely underrated, steals bases, solid defensively)
5. Placido Polanco (hits for a high batting average, defensively superb)

3rd Baseman

1. Alex Rodriguez
2. David Wright (should see more Gold Gloves coming his way)
3. Chipper Jones
4. Aramis Ramirez
5. Ryan Zimmerman

1. Hanley Ramirez (except defensively, this guy's got it all)
2. Jimmy Rollins
3. Jose B. Reyes (this guy's got speed)
4. Michael Young
5. Miguel Tejada (hard to believe he is as old as he is)

Left Fielders

1. Matt Holliday
2. Manny Ramirez (he's a proven winner in Boston)
3. Carl Crawford
4. Carlos N. Lee
5. Alfonso Soriano (this streak is amazing)

Center Fielders

1. Curtis Granderson (great leadoff hitter, all around athlete)

Starting Pitchers

1. Brandon Webb (does 9-0 mean something)
2. Jake Peavy (strikout machine)
3. Josh Beckett (will get to the World Series with any team)
4. Roy Halladay (can go all 9 innings when needed, would probably go 15 if asked)
5. Johan Santana

Relief Pitchers

1. Francisco Rodriguez (best closer for sure, this guy has all the tools needed)
2. J.J. Putz (would be better on a better team)
3. Jonathan Papelbon
4. B.J. Ryan
5. Mariano Rivera (he's getting old, but can still close games)

Very solid list. Only a couple things I would question.

Geovany Soto. All I have to say. I-rod is living off reputation 75% time at this point.

I really want to question this, seeing as he hasn't shown much this season, or really put it together(though he will), but when I think about it, I can't see a better option at RF. Just a kudos for picking the right guy, even though people talk about him being overrated so much that he's underrated.

5. (hard to believe he is as old as he is)

Blatant Braves push, but Yunel Escobar deserves some consideration here. He's really good.

2. (should see more Gold Gloves coming his way)

Yes and no. Yes, he should see some GG's coming his way, but it shouldn't be "more". A cut on the GG voters more than a cut on you, but him getting that gold glove was criminal.

Your rankings are decent enough.  The only thing I find disturbing at all is that Ryan Zimmerman made your list at 3B.  But even with him on the list, it's not like their is a glaring omission.  If only Miguel Cabrera was still playing 3rd.

Ok, got a few things gotta ask. I'm obviously a Twins fan, so from my point of view.
Derek Lee over Justin Morneau?

B.J. Ryan over Joe Nathan?

4. (has always been a defensive standout)

Ok. I've been a Twins fan for a while -since birth, and I noticed how everyone always says defensive standout. But not the case at all. GLOVE standout, not his arm at all though. Any of the Twins' current outfielders have a better arm than Hunter ever did. But he still has to be there for his bat+glove

Other than those first two, great job!

Lee has had a great year, but overall is not as good as any of those listed in my opinion.

Edinson Volquez & Cliff Lee should be included in best starting pitchers. They have the lowest ERAs in their leagues, can go the distance, & are on target to be starting pitchers in the All Stars series.

You're missing the mark a little here. B.J. Ryan ahead of Trevor Hoffman? Miguel Tejada over Khalil Greene? Curtis Granderson as the BEST centerfielder? Mostly this is alright, but you've got a few serious blunders on here.
