Andy Roddick-Biggest American Dissapointment

As a tennis fan, I enjoy following the sports, because it is as much about the country you represent as the individual awards. Except Roger Federer, who refuses to participate in Davis Cup. In the 1960's-1980's representing your country was the biggest thing to any athlete in any sport, now its more tennis than it is any other sport. However back to topic, Andy Roddick starts every Gland Slam with the hope and prayers of American tennis fans on his shoulders, but as soon as people actually start believing in him, he chokes. The difference between the Greats and the Goods, is consistency. You never seen Nadal or Federer lose to chumps like the guys Andy Roddick loses to. They are too consistent and too good. Andy Roddick, will probably fall out of the Top 15 by the end of the year, and I see a First Round loss in the French Open coming soon.

Andy Roddick-Biggest American Dissapointment

OK, so Andy Roddick sometimes losses with unknown players, but when was the last time he beat Federer, Nadal or other Top 10? He just canít play with enough consistency to beat those guys, right now he is one step behind. Even if he had won today he would not have advanced from round of 16 or quarters.

I feel a lot of the same.  Nadal and Federer are tough.  The only people they lose to are each other.  Roddick needs to not drop matches to no name players.  It seems like this happens all too often.
